B. Lesson Proper Since everyone is now active and alert, let us proceed to our lesson for today. So, who among you here are fond of reading or making poems? Oh, its nice to know that most of you are fond of reading or making poems So, who will share to the class your feelings upon reading a poem or making your own poem? (One of the students will raise his hand) (Students will raise their hands)

(The student will share his feelings about a poem) Ok, please share_________ (Students name)

Thank you for that___________(Students name) Yes youre right that in reading poems there are hidden meanings that you can picture out behind it. It is also the way how the author will inform us about his emotion or feelings through his poem Yes sir!! Am I right? And now, I have here a poem which was made by a famous poet entitled The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost (I will post the poem into the blackboard/whiteboard) Everybody, please read the poem The Road Not Taken Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

Thank you for reading the poem. So, let us now answer these questions 1. Why did the speaker feel sorry that he cannot travel both roads?
The narrator regrets that he can't go down both

roads, because then he'd have to split himself in two and that is impossible

The narrator regrets that he can't go down both roads, because then he'd have to split himself in two and that is impossible ,Answers why the speaker feel sorry that he cannot travel both roads. (This is called the cause.)

2. What made the speaker realize that the second road was not yet travelled? Because it was grassy and wanted wear, Answers question number 2. (This is called the cause.)

Because it was grassy and wanted wear

3. What made the speaker choose to travel the second road than the first road? (Effect)

The second road may be more deserving of the narrator walking down it. Why? Well, there was grass on it and it seemed to be telling the narrator "I want you to walk on me." Yes, because the speaker doesnt want to follow the steps of others and he wanted to discover it by himself. Whether he will succeed or regret. Taking the less traveled road really changed his life

4. Would you say that the speaker was a risktaker? Explain. (Cause) 5. What do you think happened in the life of the speaker when he took the one less traveled road? (Effect)

C. Generalization So class, why do we need to be careful in choosing our road for our future? Very well said________(Name of the Student) because we are the one also that will be affected by our own decisions. I hope that all of you must think many times which road will you take soon. Yes, Sir!! We need to be careful in choosing the path for our future so that we will not regret soon in our decision. Instead we will be successful.

Class, always remember that a cause and effect relationship describes something that happens and why it happens. What happens is called the effect ; and why it happens is called the cause Remember that the cause is usually introduced by the connective because Ok, since it is already time I want you to read more the cause and effect relationship. And next meeting I will give a short test about it. Is there any questions? Ok then goodbye third year students Goodbye and thank you sir. See you around IV. Evaluation Each group will be assigned to a particular paragraph to draw an image that they can picture out in the given poem. And they will explain it.
