An appeal for Contributions towards a community project
Dear Donors/Patrons,
We take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as volunteer
representatives of an internationally recogniszed and accredited NGO called
AMURT.
Our sole purpose and whole hearted mission to serve humanity in
times of need or otherwise across the globe has been, time to time,
appreciated as dedicated and selfless service irrespective of caste, creed and
color by various governmental and non-governmental international agencies
including United Nations. Our works like running mobile medical camps,
distribution of food stuffs and relief materials during natural calamities, running
health- hygiene programes and medical camps at remote areas, social
service like schools, nurseries, women and elderly homes, vocational training
facilities especially to suffering mankind has been exhorted by various forums
as needed to be supported and appreciated by the communities wherein we
have contributed.
ln Tanzania we are based at Pugu, Kinyamwezi . P. O. Box 8051. Dar-
es-Salaam since last ten years (Registered with Govt. of Tanzainia in 1990)
and our present set up includes Nursery School, library, water and sanitation,
amoung other social activities in surrounding areas. Currently we are
represented by one volunteer namely Acharya Jinanainjanananda Avadhuta.
Our activities here include setting up a basic/elementary medical
facility, up gradation of school to primary level, orphan children home on
immediate basis keeping in view the existing social requirement in the area.
As Kinyamwezi is in outskirts of Dar-es-Salaam, these basic facilities are
simply not available to the local populace there and we are making our
humble effort to fill this gap.
In this endeavor we are looking ahead for social contrubutions from
corporate citizens , citizens and everyone who is willing to contribute in any
humane manner. Also we are open to donors/publics ideas on our
present/future course of activities as by being a social welfare organization we
are committed to the cause of social bettement with all round support.
We, therefore appeal to you to contribute generously to the cause of
humanity. We have pledged ourselves to put in maximum efforts for the
worthy cause of humanity. We are hereby enclosing details of currently
undertaken project of basic health facility for your persual and request you to
be a part of our effort by contributing fully or partially in the project. We will be

--- What is Ananda Marga? ---

Ananda Marga is a world wide socio-spiritual mission. Literally it means The Path of
Bliss- the way that leads both the individual, and society, to the highest goal. It
preaches scientific practices of self development to all. The motto of Ananda Marga is
Atma Moksartham Jagat Hitayacha - Self realisation and service to humanity.

Reflecting the broadness of universal vision, Ananda Marga has become a multi-faceted
organisation with different branches dedicated to the uplifting of humanity through
education, relief, welfare, the arts, ecology, intellectual renaissance, womens
emancipation & humanistic economy.

Ananda Marga is also a social service organisation helping the disaster affected, the
needy and the neglected in all nations under the banner of Ananda Marga Universal
Relief Team (AMURT).

At this moment in human history, when there is the greatest need for a holistic approach
to the worlds problems of economic crisis, psychic alienation, disunity and strife, the
oranisation has emerged as a global force.

The solution begins with a change in the individual; physically, mentally and spiritually,
through scientific practices that develop ones potentials. As we gradually develop
ourselves, we increase our ability to deal effectively with the challenges of life and to
overcome the artificial barriers and prejudices of race, creed and nation which divide us.
We unite together and work actively to liberate all of humanity from economic, psychic
and other exploitations, and to build a healthy and harmonious society.

Never before in the entire history of this world or universe, if it could be known to
mortals, has a system of life embracing the economic, social, mental and spiritual
spheres ever been correlated in such closely knit society as in Ananda Marga. In
Ananda Marga, a Sannyasii (renunciant) is as good a member of society as an ordinary
family person earning his or her own living and maintaining his or her family.

Ananda Marga is therefore not merely an organisation of idealists or moralists who
preach a classless society, but a method, a system or a Dharma which ultimately leads
to a classless society.

In the social sphere too, both the means and the ends adopted in our Marga are
revolutionary. This shows a change due to the development of social habits of human
beings. It is a change based on the fundamental characteristics of the human mind and
hence it is a change which will last as long as the human mind lasts.

It teaches adjustment to life, rather than giving up the world by leading a life of useless
seclusion. It creates people who are fit for every walk of life, who do not make any
distinction among their fellow beings, and who are joined together as one world

--- Social Philosophy ---

The social philosophy of Ananda Marga advocates the development of the integrated
personality of an individual, and also the establishment of world fraternity, inculcation in
the human psychology a cosmic sentiment.

The Marga advocates the progressive utilisation of mundane, physical, supra-mundane,
metaphysical and spiritual resources of the cosmos. The society needs a stir for life and
vigour for progress and for this Ananda Marga advocates the Progressive Utilisation
Theory (PROUT). This means progressive utilisation of all factors. Those who support
this principal may be termed as Proutist.

PROUT is a socioeconomic philosophy that helps take humanity from imperfection to
perfection. To move towards the Supreme Entity is a continuous process for one and
all. At the end of this process, you will become one with the Supreme Entity. PROUT is
the path of socio-economic emancipation of all humanity, irrespective of man made
barriers.

The principles of PROUT depend upon the following fundamental factors

1 No individual should be allowed to accumulate any physical wealth without
the clear permission or approval of the collective body.

2 There should be maximum utilisation and rational distribution of all
mundane, supramundane and spiritual potentialities of the world.

3 There should be maximum utilisation of physical, metaphysical and
spiritual potentialities of unit and collective bodies of human society.

4 There should be proper adjustment among these physical, metaphysical,
mundane, supramundane and spiritual utilisations.

5 The method of utilisation should vary in accordance with changes in time,
space, person and the utilisation should be of progressive nature.

--- Self Realisation and Service to Humanity ---

Self realisation and service to humanity are the twin objectives of Ananda Marga.

The Education Relief and Welfare Section (ERAWS) of Ananda Marga, shoulders the
main responsibility for social service. The range of service that ERAWS organises and
conducts is suggested by its different branches.

The sections include:

Education (which establishes and runs childrens homes and retirement homes);
The Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (which is a registered United Nations
NGO in its own right that carries out disaster relief);
Medical (which conducts medical camps and build hospitals); and
The Tribal and Backward Peoples Welfare Group.

Education is the most potent medium to bring about a progressive revolution in society.
Education in the view of Ananda Marga is not mere imparting of alphabetical knowledge
or mundane knowledge; it is a powerful instrument to effect the gregarious development
of the human personality (physical, mental and spiritual).

Sa vidya ya vimuktaye Education is that which brings the total liberation of human
beings. This is the motto of ERAWS, and with this end in view, ERAWS runs and
organizes schools at the primary, post primary, high-school and university levels. It is
presently running a thousand Schools in India and other continents of the world.
Similarly, it has been running large network Childrens Homes, Retiring Homes,
Students Homes, Rural Development Centers, Charitable Dispensaries, Medical
Clinics, Hospitals and Cheap Kitchen etc.

In Tanzania we are based at the Kinyamwezi Village, Pugu, in Dar es Salaam.

The mission was registered with the government of Tanzania in 2006. The current
location includes a Mothers and Childrens Clinic, a Dispensary, a Nursery Day Care
School, a Library, water and sanitation.

In the year 2011 I went to my Mission head quarter of African sub
Sahara country at Nairobi and met Mr. Chunni Bhai and Mr.
Chhagan Bhai who was the head of Sewa Uk of Kenya Branch,
came to visit at our mission. At that time we requested them for an
Ambulance for our Dispensary which is in Tanzania. They were so
kind to arrange this Ambulance within year. I would like to pay my
thanks to them not only them but Mr. Shanti Bhai also who played
very active role to communicate us on internet.

Introduction
