The six primary schools in district A will be the feeder schools for three lower secondary schools in the same district. After completing their studies in the lower secondary school, they can choose either to enter upper secondary school in district B or district C. (a) Based on Diagram 1, (i) list the set of all the primary schools and the set of all the lower secondary schools. (ii) draw two arrow diagrams to show the relation of the schools. Hence, a) determine the domain, codomain, objects, images and range. b) state the type of relation for each arrow diagram. c) represent each of the above relations using other ways of representation. (b) Based on (a)(ii), determine whether each of the relations is a function? Give your reason. If yes, state whether its inverse function exist or not. Explain why.

Further Exploration 1 The height of a light on a Ferris wheel is given as H(t) = 100 + 95 sin(120t), where H is the height in metres above the ground, and t is taken in minutes. a) Find the initial height of the light. b) At what time is the light at its lowest position in the first revolution of the wheel? c) How long does the wheel take to complete one revolution? d) Make a conjecture of the speed of the ferris wheel by the increasing the value of 120 in H(t) = 100 + 95 sin(120t). light
