Creating Text and Object Graphics
Create Text Objects with the Text Tool and apply different fonts, scripts, and styles to individual letters or words. Use Geometric shapes including Sphere, Cylinder, Cube, Cone, Single Cone, Pyramid, Frustum, Torus, Metaball, and MetaEllipsoid. Path Editor lets you customize shapes or path drawings, imports EMF, WMF, and Adobe Illustrator files and converts BMP or JPG images. Lathe Object Tool creates symmetrical geometric shapes. Popular 3D Format Support allows you to import 3DS and X models directly into COOL 3D Studio. Pre-Made Objects in the EasyPalette provide a selection of complete objects that can be used right away. Object Manager lists all objects and lets you group/ungroup, lock/unlock, disable/enable, delete, and rename them. Material Gallery lets you apply textures to objects, including Metallic, Plastic, Glass, Wood, Skin, Fabric, and Ceramic. Wireframe Mode displays objects in wireframes for better editing control and different output. Transparent Mode specifies opacity degree to help you create objects that appear to fade gradually.

Advanced Productivity
EasyPaletteTM organizes preset objects, elements, styles, and effects so you can easily drag-and-drop them into your projects. Selection Indicators identifies the currently-active object by showing a bounding box around it. Camera View shifts user perspectives between Front, Back, Right, Left, Top or Bottom views. Light Guide displays the color, position, and angle of illumination.

POWERFUL EFFECTS
Animation Tools
Control Animation with the basic Animation toolbar or the full-featured timeline. Timeline mode provides frame-accurate editing, complete with multiple key frame control of each text or object. Lights and Camera provides precision illumination and lens position for maximum screen utilization. Create Object Motion by moving, rotating, and scaling objects over the Timeline. Extrude Object specifies the depth of the objects Z-axis over a given period.

Global Effects
Fire, Glow, Lightning, Motion Blur, and Shadow adds vivid background effects. Natural Paint stylizes 3D objects by rendering them into hand-drawn art. Choose from Color Pen, Charcoal, and Watercolor.

Particle System
Particle Effects adds elemental effects, such as Smoke, Snow, Bubble, Fire, or Custom particles, to objects for increased realism. Customize particle size, density, color, emitter type, direction, and speed. Collision Detection controls how particles bounce off objects. Text Wave Effect simulates movement by making text/objects ripple. Blast Effect simulates text being blown up. Bump Effect knocks text off the screen and replaces it with new text. Jump Effect drops new text on top of older ones.

Object-based Effects
Cartoon Shader reduces color content and renders 3D models into cartoonlike images. Psychedelic applies vivid color changes to an object. Stylized Outline simplifies your objects into outlines stroked in Ink, Pencil, Charcoal, or Brush. FreeForm Effect smoothly shifts and deforms objects from one shape to another. Bend, Dance, Distort, Explosion, Motion Path, Path Animation, Surface Animation, Tokenbased Motion and Twist changes static text into dynamic characters.

Extensive Video and Audio Support

Video Background Support sets and plays movies as independent backgrounds. Video Texture embeds video in your 3D objects for heightened multimedia effects. Add Audio to projects by importing MP3, WAV, AIFF, AU, AVI, and MOV files. Video Compositions provide complete animation templates for instant projects.

Create complete videos by saving files to AVI, QuickTimeTM, or RealVideo format. Export transparent Video Overlays by outputting 32-bit AVI or TGA with alpha-channel support.
