LIKE OR AS?

We use AS to mean “in the position of”,

We use LIKE (preposition) to mean
“the same as”, “similar to”.
It’s followed by a noun, a pronoun
or -ing: His house is like a castle/
He’s a doctor, like you/ It sounds
like a woman shouting.
It can also mean “for example”: I
“in the form of”: He worked as a
carpenter.
We also use it (an not like) before a
subject + verb: He left everything as he
found it.
