Quartering Act

-A law that said colonists had to take in British troops in their homes and feed them

Declaratory Act

-Reaffirmed Parliaments right to bind the colonies in all cases whatsoever

-Made it clear that they would take dramatic action to secure their sovereignty

Boston Massacre

-Sixty townspeople went on a riot towards the redcoats

-Two soldiers were pronounced guilty of manslaughter

-It gave the colonists unity and the idea of fighting against the British

Tea Act

-Meant to help the British East India Company get out of debt -Only the British East India Company could sell tea

-Angered the colonists -Had to buy tea from the British -Couldnt sell tea

-Got the B.E.I. company out of debt -They out a monopoly on tea

-The colonists didnt like how the B.E.I. Companys government put a monopoly on tea

Boston Tea Party

-About 100 Bostonians dressed up as Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Atlantic Ocean

-Showed their strength and determination to have things their own way

-Were taken aback by the colonists rebellious actions

-It lead to bitterness and escalating conflict
