NCT lifts objects without any surface contact

The Non-Contact Transfer unit from Rexroth is a new picking device that operates by the Bernoulli principle. The airflow under the device creates a vacuum and a lifting force between the center and the circumference. Objects can be lifted without any surface contact, enabling delicate objects to be handled. Because of the dynamic vacuum and the continuous flow, the lifted object will not attach to NCT surfaces. The NCT can be equipped with rubber pads as an option for rapid horizontal movement.

MSC for precision and load capacity

This new compact minislide will meet your needs when you really want the combination of a powerful actuator with precision guidance and high flexibility. Precise, adjustable end positioning is achieved by means of shock absorbers.

Octagon a new way of thinking

Octagon represents a new way of thinking about the traditional mini ISO cylinder. It adopts the measures described in the ISO standard to achieve numerous advantages. With a new type of barrel, the Octagon offers a better way of mounting sensors than the traditional strap around the barrel.

An important feature is that an MSC can be fitted to the top or front plate of the next larger size MSC without an adapter plate. Centering rings will give a very precise fit. This makes it easy to create pick and place systems. The range will consist of 8, 12, 16, 20 and 25 mm bores.
Overview of customer benefits:

Rigid, zero-play guide High load and moment absorption High-precision end positioning Shock absorbers can be changed without re-adjusting the machine Multi-axis systems are easy to build with the direct combination feature.

The materials of the Octagon provide it with protection against corrosion. The barrel is anodized aluminum, the end covers are of composite material and the piston rod is stainless steel. A non-rotation feature is achieved by the octagonal barrel and piston. This is useful in applications involving e.g. suction cups for material handling, as it prevents the handled object from turning unpredictably. These features add advantages to the mini ISO cylinder: Protection against corrosive environments. Stainless steel mountings available Easily mounted and adjusted sensors, no straps around the barrel Integrated push-in fittings, compact and price-efficient.

HF04 and LP04 compact valve systems with high flow

HF04 and LP04 are two new valve terminal systems in the area of 200400 l/min. Both systems are modular and use the same valve, but they differ in the manifold system. Thereby they fulfil a wide range of applications and customer requirements.
HF04 The new member of the High Flow family

Its ideal for space-limited applications where high flow is required. Examples of industry sectors include paper and printing, automation and general mechanical engineering. Simple expansion and valve replacement without disassembly enable easy handling. All pneumatical and electrical connections are in the same direction. The proven manifold design from the HF03 and HF02 is transferred to the HF04, including the aluminum end pieces and the reliable electrical connections. This makes the valve system insensitive to vibrations and temperature fluctuations.

The number of valves can be varied from 2 to 12 in two-valve increments. The electrical connection consists of either the D-sub or field bus. 6 mm push-in fittings for port 2 and 4. Working pressure internal pilot control; 38 bars. Working pressure external pilot control; vacuum 1 to 10 bars. Plastic double subbases. Aluminum end plates. 25-pin D-sub connector. Field bus protocols: PROFIBUS DP, AS-i with 8 In / 8 Out, 4 I/O and 4 In. Protection class IP 65. Mounting by use of bolt holes or DIN rail.

LP04 Miniaturized system with integrated field bus

Compared to the HF04, the LP04 has been designed with a different subbase in order to reduce its size, particularly in height. The most striking size reduction has been achieved by integrating the field bus functions into the subbase. As a result, the size of the valve system with field bus connection is the same as with D-Sub connection. One system can comprise up to 16 valves. The electrical connection is made using either a D-sub or a field bus.

Typical applications include smallscale handling in the semiconductor and electronics industries, vacuum and process control. 4 or 6 mm or 1/8'' exchangeable push-in fittings for port 2 and 4. Working pressure internal pilot control; 38 bars. Working pressure external pilot control; vacuum 1 to 10 bars. Plastic sub-base and end plates. 25-pin D-sub connector. Field bus protocols: PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet, DDL, AS-i Protection class IP 65.

Simple function

Indication of position

With inductive sensors

The function is simple: the first port is pressurized initially, then mechanism locks up. The second port is pressurized and then the table moves. The movement continues as long as there is alternating pressure. All this can be managed with a 5/2 valve. RWT series index table can be chosen in 6 different versions: 45, 60, or 90 index angles with right- or left-hand rotation.
Applications

The RWT is also prepared for two inductive sensors. One for home position and one for rotation position. The home position sensor indicates every complete turning 360, and the rotation sensor indicates each step.
Easy mounting

This new index table substantially simplifies the design and building of assembly machines. A typical application would be indexing of a workpiece requiring 4 processes (6 or 8 also possible), as pictured below.

The table has a useful plane-mounting surface with threaded mounting holes and locating dowels for precision and strength. On the upper side the table consists of four M4 holes for mounting the work piece and two holes for fixing. It also has a square plate, with a 5.5 mm hole in each corner, for machine assembly and two holes for fixing underneath.

Swing motion saves space

This piston type rotary actuator (RAP) from Rexroth uses swing motion to promote efficient use of space. With five different swing angles, including 360, in four different torques for new levels of convenience.

RAP1 Nominal torque 0.10 Nm RAP5 Nominal torque 0.47 Nm RAP10 Nominal torque 1.15 Nm

RAP20 Nominal torque 2.38 Nm Swing angle 90

Swing angle 100

The double-rack principle achieves a no-backlash, non-leak design. No backlash can occur when a single rack continues pushing at the end of the swing. Moreover, the use of a separate piston structure avoids interference with loads due to counterpressure from the rack. Easily mounted square body and piping concentrated in a single plane results in high space efficiency. All RAPs are prepared for two 4 mm compact sensor switches. The RAP is available with single or double shaft. Both options are in stainless steel.
