1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 General Notes for Servicing 1.2 General Description
This manual is intended to be used by the maintenance engineers. It describes areas to be maintained, the detailed installation, the disassembly, and the component replacement procedures as well as the main trouble shooting guides. Please take your time to read this manual thoroughly to obtain comprehensive knowledge about the Xerox Mobile Scanner before serving the unit.

General Description
The product is a simplex sheet-fed image scanner. The digital solution makes your reproduction exceedingly clear and sharp. Without further leaning, you can get a scan image and link the image to a variety of applications, for example, the image-editing software, the OCR(Optical character recognition) software, to make your jobs done .

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting
Solution Remove jammed paper. Exchange a new card or clear some more card space. Re-calibration. Charge battery or shutdown scanner. Wifi of EyeFi card is turned off. Other functions are still available.
LED Status LED blinking 2 times represents scanner jam. LED blinking 3 times represents card error. LED blinking 4 times represents calibration fail. Battery LED blinking 1 times represents low power. Battery LED blinking 2 times represents AirPlane mode.
Scan To PC Software Status Solution The disk space is not sufficient to allocate memory. Please free up disk space, or select another disk. The specified path exceeds max. length (64 characters). After PC is connected to the XMS device and image scanning is performed, image file is not saved to the specified location on the PC. How to confirm whether the PC has detected the XMS device. Please choose another path. Make sure the scan function is switched to the Scan To PC mode. When the XMS device is connected to a PC via a USB cable, the Scan To PC's main screen will pop up.

4. DISASSEMBLY
Procedure for Disassembly and Reassembly

4.1.1 Notes on disassembly (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) Clean the disassembly and assembly location. Before disassembling the machine, make sure the power of the scanner is off and there is no battery inside the scanner. Follow the disassembly and assembly procedures. Never loosen the screws of parts that must not be disassembled. Store the disassembled parts in a clean place to avoid loss. After replacement, check the contacts and spare part mounting. Assemble the parts in reverse order of disassembly procedure.
