®
Unlike other sample bag materials, Tedlar® film resists gas permeation - both into
and out of the bag, assuring sample integrity for all applications. Tedlar® is rated
for continuous use from -98 to 225 F. This wide range of operation allows for use

in very cold or very hot environments including stacks, vents, and flues. Tedlar®
film is inert to a wide range of chemicals.
Tedlar® Bags are referenced for many EPA methods, including Methods 3, 18 and
40.
*Note: We recommend shipping filled Tedlar® bags in a rigid carton to prevent

damage/discharge during shipping. Do not ship sample bags by air unless the
cargo cabin is pressurized. Do not overfill sample bags - avoid filling the bag to

The Clean Air Method 5 Train is the benchmark of the

industry. It is suited to perform isokinetic particulate
testing Referencing Federal EPA 40 CFR 60, Appendix
A, Method 5 -“Determination of Particulate Emissions
From Stationary Sources.” Other pollutants can be col-
lected in the impinger portion of the system providing

The Clean Air Express SO3 Controlled Condensation System is de-

signed to allow the separation of H2SO4 from SO2 by cooling the

gas stream below the dew point of H2SO4 but above the H2O dew
point. Applicable for method 8A Determination of Sulfuric Acid Vapor
or Mist (including Sulfur Trioxide) and Sulfur Dioxide Emissions from
Kraft Recovery Furnaces. The condenser utilizes a straight quartz
tube filled with quartz wool surrounded by a temperature regulated
water bath. No recirculation pump or external water heaters are re-
quired. The system works in conjunction with standard Method 5 Iso-
kinetic Control Consoles and Heater Controllers. Temperature Regu-
lator Water Bath sold seperately.

Method 30B
The purpose of Method 30B is to measure total vapor phase mer-

cury (Hg) emissions from coal fired sources. Knowledge of Meth-
ods 1, 4, and 5 is recommended. The testing should be done after
the stack gas has passed through all pollution control devices, i.e.
with a stream that is low in particulates. Method 30B is used to
test the accuracy of current vapor phase Hg constant emissions
monitoring systems (CEMS) and can also be used to test for the
compliance of mercury emissions standards. The method requires
a minimum of two simultaneous sampling trains.

The PM10 cyclone is built to meet EPA specifications
for method 201A testing, and is designed for in-stack
measurement of particulate matter equal to or less than
10µm. Designed by experienced field testers, its heavy-

The JES 300 series heated gas sample probes are designed for continuous use with extractive sampling systems—even
where the sample contains dust, aerosols, water vapor and corrosive gases and in situations where the gas must be
kept free of contaminants prior to hot analysis or sample conditioning. The JES 300 incorporates a non-corrosive heated,
replaceable ceramic filter element with a filter porosity of 2 microns. The filter is mounted in an electrically heated, stain-

The Clean Air Express CEM Heated Filter Probe has an integral filter chamber that will accept a glass fiber filter cartridge
or a stainless steel sintered frit. Two stages of filtration may be achieved by using an in-stack course 20-micron SS frit on
the probe end and a fine .02-micron filter in the chamber. The probe and filter chamber are heated by the same reliable
high temperature cable heater eliminating the need for multiple temperature controllers. An optional in-line self-regulating
(275 °F) temperature control may be incorporated into the power cord making the heated filter probe totally self contained
and easy to use.

The Clean Air Express FLW6 Flow Panel is a 3RD generation 19” rack mount panel designed to control sample and cali-
bration gases to extractive analyzers for CEM and process control applications. Design features include an auto mode for
remotely controlling up to 13 functions from your data acquisition and control system for automated calibrations. Manual
control is simplified with interlocking push button switches and status outputs for flagging data. Three calibration gas inputs
(High, Mid, Low) for each channel and a separate zero gas input. Adjustable flow rate for probe tip calibration and sample
out (A,B,C,D). Separate pressure regulators for both sample and calibration gas provide reliable calibrations by match-

The ECOM-AC (Plus) is a portable unit for the quick measurement of O2, CO, temperature, NO and NO2. The micro-
processor will calculate CO2 and combustion efficiency. NO and NO2 sensors make simple determinations of these
parameters. This instrument has a high flow pump assembly with an in-line water trap and particulate filter for proper
conditioning of short-term samples.
The ECOM-AC (Plus) is capable of downloading into a computer for remote monitoring. The probe is 12” in length and
has a 1/4” outer diameter with 10 ft. flexible high temperature hose. It also has an automatic fresh air purge. The built-in
printer in this unit can automatically print at predetermined time intervals.

Silicone Heaters

Silicone Rubber: Two layers of silicone rubber infused with fiberglass are vulcanized together and enclose the multiple
strand wire resulting in a rugged yet flexible sheath with excellent moisture, chemical and wear resistance. Maximum
temperature rating for the heat tape is 500 °F. The thickness of the flexible silicone rubber heater is 0.06”. The industrial
heaters have silicone insulated wire leads of 2’ @ 18AWG. The silicone rubber heater is used in the majority of probes
manufactured by Clean Air Express. The flexible heaters length ranges from 35” thru 600”. The silicone rubber heaters
power supply ranges from 120 volt to 240 volt.
