Octoberfest 2013
Saturday, October 5 @ 6 PM
Octoberfest is Word of Lifes annual fall festival. This year well feature a giant corn maze and tons of tasty food, like hot dogs, brats, popcorn, cider, and funnel cakes. Well also have hayrides, plenty of games for kids, great live music, and much more. This will be an evening of fun for everyone. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs, and invite friends, coworkers, and perfect strangers!

New Member Sunday

We encourage you to get connected by membership to Word of Life Church, and to what Jesus is doing right here in our community of faith. Its easy to become a church member. You can join Word of Life after either service on September 15 in a reception with Pastor Brian and the pastoral staff. The Joseph Company

Saturday, September 14 9 AM in the MYC
The Joseph Company is our monthly leadership development session to equip women and men who are passionate about being effective for the Kingdom of Jesus every day of the week. This months meeting will feature a great DVD based presentation, The Power of Vulnerability, from Brene Brown. Shes a best-selling author and research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. We will have small group discussion time, as well as a seriously good free home-cooked breakfast. We encourage you to RSVP at the church office.

Love & Respect in Marriage

In our current session of small groups, were offering this great new group! Youll discover the power of unconditional love, unconditional respect, and how husbands and wives can reap the benefits of marriage that God intended. Begins on Sunday, September 15 in the MYC. Mens Fraternity
Mens Fraternity is a challenging spiritual journey for men who want to discover manhood through large group teaching and small group discussion. Our first meeting will kick off with some amazing BBQ. Everyone will need a copy of "The Quest for Authentic Manhood", which is available in Solomon's Porch for just $10. We encourage men of all ages to be part of this uplifting study led by Pastor Derek, and discover the adventure God has for you! Mens Fraternity will start up on September 15, and will meet on Sunday evenings from 6 to 8:30 PM, running through December 8.
