The placement season at IIFT drew to a grand close this year to deliver outstanding professional talent into the marketplace.

In its Golden Jubilee year, IIFT emerged as one of the first three B-schools in the country to have achieved 100 percent placements and in an emphatic manner with a 9 percent increase in the median salary.

IIFT saw the highest number of Pre Placement Offers ever with 46 students, up by more than 100 percent, receiving offers from industry stalwarts including AT Foods, Britannia, CEB, Citibank, CBC, Colgate Palmolive, DBS, Flipkart, GCPL, Goldman Sachs, ITC, Madura F&L, Mahindra & Mahindra, Nomura Holdings, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Vodafone.

Marketing & Sales offers continued their upward trend at IIFT and the institute yet again attracted the biggest names in this domain.

ITC made the largest number of offers - 7 FMCG majors- Britannia, Colgate Palmolive, Emami, Godrej, ITC, Reckitt Benkiser, SAB Miller and VVF offered Sales & Marketing profiles

FINANCE
Finance placements saw a high at IIFT this year with students bagging offers from international banks and financial institutions

Telecom Majors- Airtel, Idea and Vodafone offered multiple profiles

Tata Group companies including Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Titan made their presence felt on campus

Goldman Sachs, HSBC and Nomura Holdings offered profiles in investment banking, treasury and risk management

Automobile giants like Bajaj Auto, Hero Motocorp and Maruti Suzuki offered both domestic and international marketing profiles

Citibank, HDFC and ICICI offered roles in risk management, commercial banking and operations and technology

Madura Fashion & Lifestyle and Sharaf Group Dubai offered roles in both domestic and international retail

Crisil, DBS and PFC were first time recruiters at IIFT offering roles in credit rating, equity research and commercial banking

IIFT made giant strides this year in the consulting domain with a number of industry leaders showing renewed interest

High profile recruiters include the likes of CEB, Cognizant Business Consulting, KPMG and PwC

Conglomerates like Mahindra & Mahindra , RPG and Trident Group offered their coveted leadership and group management roles

Amrop India, Technopak and Tecnova Consulting offered their niche roles in HR consultancy, capital advisory and India entry strategy

Cipla and ACG - PAM Worldwide offered first time strategy and leadership roles in the pharma sector

Jindal Steel, Raymonds and Tata Advanced Systems limited offered strategy roles in the power, retail and manufacturing domains respectively

TECHNOLOGY & IT
This year saw a large number of first time recruiters in the technology space

Amazon, Flipkart and Google made a total of 12 offers on campus

IT majors on campus include the likes of Dassault Systems, HCL, Infosys, Interglobe, KPIT Cummins, TCS and Wipro

TRADE & INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

IIFT has leveraged its niche in Trade & International Business with global trade powerhouses offering both domestic and international roles across locations spanning Africa, Middle East and South-East Asian countries.

Global steel major Stemcor offered its coveted steel trading profile to the students of IIFT

2013 marks the Golden Jubilee Year in the illustrious journey of IIFT. After being set up as a Centre of Excellence in International Trade and Business in 1963, IIFT has evolved as a top business school and research institution providing training and research-based consultancy in the areas of International Business, for the corporate sector, Government and the student community. IIFT offers its Post-graduate MBA programs through its two campuses in New Delhi & Kolkata which follow an integrated admission & placement process and attract students from diverse educational backgrounds & with varied professional experiences.
