INTRODUCTION
Thank You for choosing Deutsche Power UPS product. It is designed for a safe and reliable usage and minimal maintenance.

Before you start please read this manual. It contains instructions concerning a safe installation and operation of the UPS. It helps you to get the highest performance and to operate efficiently the UPS. This manual includes the construction of this UPS-system and related protection functions. It also describes how to contact your suppliers department when necessary.

Please keep to all the warnings and operation that are on the machine and in the manual. Please do not operate this UPS-System before you have read this manual.

The UPS is a Sine Wave series. It is ideal for all kinds of consistent Loads such as Personal Computers, Motors, Boats, Electrical Appliances, Air Conditioners, Fans, tube-lights and for other similar kind of applications. It gives the connected equipment protection against all sorts of power problems; such as brownouts, blackouts, surges, lightning strikes and line noise. It contains state of art technology of Deutsche Power and is backed with a high caliber team.

The UPS can be used in a great Variety of applications.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS


This UPS utilizes voltage that may be hazardous. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. The unit contains no user replaceable parts. Only factory service personnel may perform repairs.

In the event of an emergency, press the OFF button and disconnect the power cord from the AC power supply to properly disable the UPS. Do not place beverages or any other liquid containing vessels on or near the unit. This unit intended for installation in a controlled environment (temperature controlled, indoor area free of conductive contaminants). Avoid installing the UPS in locations where there is standing/ running water, excessive humidity, sunlight or heat. Do not plug the UPS input into its own output. Do not attach a power strip or surge suppressor to the UPS. Do not attach medical equipment, life-support equipment, microwave ovens, or vacuum cleaners to UPS. To reduce the risk of overheating the UPS, do not cover the UPS' cooling vents and avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight or installing the unit near heat emitting appliances such as space heater or furnaces or gas stoves. Unplug the UPS prior to cleaning and do not use liquid or spray detergent.

Battery Caution!!
In order to ensure the efficiency of the UPS, please allow the UPS to charge its battery for at least 12 hours before use. Connect the UPS to a two-pole; three-wire grounding mains (AC).The AC source must be connected to appropriate branch protection (fuse or circuit breaker). Connection to any other type of AC source may result in a shock hazard and may violate your warranty claim. This UPS has an External battery and the user cannot reenergize its energy. The output may be energized even though when the UPS is not connected to main AC. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Release electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes. It may be toxic. A battery can present a risk of electrical shock and high short circuit current. The following precautions should be observed when working on batteries: 1) Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects from the hands. 2) Use tools with insulated handles. 3) Wear rubber gloves and boots. 4) Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries. 5) Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting batteries terminal.

Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel knowledgeable of batteries and the required precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from batteries.

UPS DESCRIPTION (FRONT PANEL)


FOR LCD Display:The operation is as follows Plug in the Power chord in the Mains AC unit will turn on automatically, It will check all the functions including inverter test. Connection of battery polarity must be done with extreme caution, incase of wrong connection unit will not damage but it will not provide desired backup from battery in case of power failure. MENU Button is only for internal test not for viewing the LCD. Power button is only to switch off the unit in case desired during power failure.

System LCD has comprehensive display of every possible parameter available for the unit. User can check input out voltages when mains AC is available and can check output voltages and frequency during battery operation. Load graph is available on both modes and battery graph display battery capacity during backup and charging status during mains power.

INSTALLATION
Inspection Installing the UPS is as easy as following the steps shown. Be aware of the Power Switch must be kept in the ON position, otherwise, the UPS will be disabled and your equipment will not be protected during a power failure. Remove the UPS from its package and inspect it for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is discovered, re-pack the unit and return it to the place of purchase.

Cable to UPS

Placement Install the UPS unit in any protected environment that provides adequate airflow around the unit, and is free from excessive dust, corrosive fumes and conductive contaminants. Do not operate your UPS in an environment where the ambient temperature or humidity is high.

On the other hand, place the UPS unit away from the monitor at least 20cm to avoid interference.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
