Why Mah Jong Cards?

While traditional Mah Jong tile sets are heavy, and therefore not the most
portable, you can quite conceivably take a pack of Mah Jong cards anywhere.

The Mah Jong Set

This file contains enough cards to produce a full 144 card set, including
seasons, flowers and an extra 8 jokers.

Font Used
I have used, in this version, the freely downloadable truetype font called
Mahjong.ttf available from www.asahi-net.or.jp/~mn8y-kt/font/font.html

Colour Scheme
I have adopted the following colour scheme for cards, which keeps with the
traditional association between the suits and dragons (with thanks to Tom
Sloper):

Bamboo — Green
Dots — Black
Characters — Red
Winds — Blue
Dragons — As Dragon
Seasons — Black
Jokers — Brown

Printing These cards are copyright © 2001-

Use thick card. If the card image shows through the card you can print a 2003 Potting Shed Designs / Gareth J.
disruptive backing image on the reverse side of the card before cutting. An M. Saunders
appropriate image is available in PDF format on my website.
