Service Rules
These Rules applicable to all the existing and future workmen, other employees and Managers of Indus Motor co.pvt. Ltd at Kerala and its all branches, Chennai office Kattupakkam, branch Royapettah and branch Medavakkam Chennai and future establishment in Tamilnadu, Kerala and any other states of India.
2. APPOINTMENT

2.1 No person shall be deemed to be in employment of the company until and unless he has received a letter of appointment, provided where a person is engaged as causal, this is not necessary. 2.2 No employee/workman while in service of company shall, while on leav-e, off or otherwise absent, accept other employment or undertake any work or service or profession elsewhere. 2.3 Every employee shall notifY to the company in writing this address in full and all changes thereof from time to time. The last given address will be deemed to be correct address. 2.4 No person shall be appointed permanently unless the company's authorized medical officer certifies the person fit in all respects for employment. 2.5 Every employee/workman shall immediately on appointment, furnish 2 passport size photos and satisfactory evidence as to his date of birth. The DOB entered in records at the time of appointment is not liable to be altered under any circumstances. He shall also produce original certificates of qualification and experience as well as relieving letter from the previous company.
3. ENTRY AND EXIT

3.1 Every employee/workman shall enter and leave the premises of establishment only through gates which are for the purpose and shall show his ID card (if any) to security by passing through gates. He shall also subject himself to physical checking by security guards at the time of entering and exit. 3.2 Every employee if supplied with uniform or any other apparel and/safety shoes shall wear these during working hours. 3.3 Any employee failing to comply with the above provisions shall be liable for strict action taken against him.
4. RECORDING OF DAILY ATTENDANCE

4.1 Every employee will personally record his attendance in the register or with the aid of attendance recording system. 4.2 No workman /Employee shall record attendance other than his own. 4.3 Every employee/Workman sh;:t11 verify that attenoance has not been recorded on the day of his absence. 4.4 Regularization of attendance/leave/absence will be allowed if proper permission sought from superiors. 4.5 No workman /employee shall leave his appointed place of work during working hours except with the permission of his superior. 4.6 Every workman shall be at the work spot at the time of fixed as notified from time to time in the notice board.

5. LEAVE OF ABSENCE 5.1 All workmen/employee may be granted c:lsualleave and sick leave and those who have served for a period of 240 days or more are eligible to avail earned leave. 5.2 The grant of leave and number of leave to the employee will be regulated in accordance with the provisions of shops and establishment act and factories act. 5.3 Grand of leave will be subject to work pressures or exigencies of work. 5.4 Application for leave of absence of 2 days or less shall be submitted with at least 24 hours prior notice. 5.5 For leave extending beyond 2 days, Permission/application for the same must be obtained / made at least 15 days in advance. However, cases like sickness, sudden demise in family or grave domestic complications are exceptions to these. 5.6 It is the responsibility of employee in all cases to satisfy himself that leave applied for has been granted before he proceeds on leave. 5.7 Leave cards should be furnished before /after leave availed duly signed by the superiors to who the work man is reporting. 5.8 All sick leaves will have to be accompanied by a medical certificate. 6. PENALTY FOR ABSENCE WITHOUT DUE NOTICE If, without giving 10 days notice and without reasonable cause, workmen absent themselves, they shall pay to company in lieu of such notice and amount equal to his wages for those days or is liable to be deducted from his wages thereof.

An employee shall be liable to be transferred to any department or section of the establishment or any other place of business of the company. By transferring any employee, the service condition enjoyed by him before the transfer will not be changed.

All employees shall retire from service at the age of 55 from the DOB as per furnished available with the company, Exceptions, if any will be at the management's discretien.

9.1 Any employee leaving the company shall be provided a discharge certificate from the department certifying to money/goods belonging to the company due by him. In case of any due not settled it shall be deducted from any amounts due to him. 9.2 Earned wages of employee shall be paid to him within 30 working days of the order of termination being effective.

Only under the following circumstances can work be stopped. 10.1 Fire, breakdown of machines, epidemic, natural calamity and shortage financial difficulty or any cause beyond the control of the company. 10.2 Layoff as authorized by the manager 10.3 Public holidays

10.4 Bandh or other holidays as declared by the concerned government authorities. 10.5 Weekly, monthly, daily shutdown of work.

11.1 Any communication to workmen shall be put on company's notice board before suspension order or any other disciplinary proceedings or performance of employee. 11.2 Any notice / communication shall be delivered by hand personally in the premise or by post/courier. .

12.1 Safety rules: The Company has laid down certain safety rules. 12.2 Every employee shall discharge his duties and responsibilities with all care and diligence and shall at all times observe safety measures being followed in the company. 12.3 Every employee shall immediately report to his superior concerned any injury sustained during the course of his work. 12.4 For any injury sustained by workmen during the course of performing work, due to reasons of the employee not following safety rules, the liability for such injury will be that if the respective individual and not the company's. 12.4(1)Protective wear such as apron, goggles, gloves, goggles and face mask(for painters),glove or all who handle metal and heavy objects)" gumboots, face mask, goggles and hand gloves(for service employees)is compulsory. 12.4(2) all employee and supervisors must at all time wear company given uniforms and shoes. No other clothing is permitted. The shirts must be tucked in and not left outside. The uniform must be kept neat and clean always. 12.4(3) Anyone climbing a height of more than six feet must wear safety belt properly hooked to a safe location. 12.4(4) All employee must ensure that all raw materials, finished and semi-finished things are kept in their designated locations, so as not to cause any obstruction or injury to themselves or others. 12.4(5) All employee shall ensure that the machines they work with and their work places are kept well maintained, clean and in good order at all times. No loose electrical cables, loose electrical joints and unsafe work tools shall be used. All electrical connections like plug and socket shall be proper and if there is any damage to these, the workmen must inform the maintenance department for immediate rectification. 12.4(6) Only those employee/supervisor/drivers authorized by the manager shall operate things. Anyone else found using these will be subject to serious disciplinary action by the management. Any such unauthorized person injuring himself on account of such act will have the liability upon himself. 12.4(7)All employee should wear helmet and seatbelt while driving vehicle at the time of course of employment.

13.1 Every employee should maintain confidentiality of all activities that are taking place inside the premises. 13.2 Bringing or taking out of the materials like pen drives; CD,floppy etc are not permitted.

14.1 Tools, equipments, stationery, consumables and other belongings of the company will be provided to workmen/employees for use in the company. 14.2 Any employee entrusted with the company property should take proper care of and maintain the same 14.3 Every employee is liable to return the items/equipments issued to him, either in the shop floor or outside the company. 14.4 Misuse of company's property will be dealt with seriously arid necessary action can be initiated against workmen <:oncerned to the extent of recovery of cost of properties subject to provision of payment of wages act 1956 14.5 In the event of any loss or damage to the items issued to employee due to their negligence, cost of damage or loss will be recovered from the respective employee.

15.3 Any employee who is permanent has to give one month's notice or wages in lieu before leaving the company service 15.4 Temporary/casual employee need not have to do so. Probationer should serve 15 days notice or wages in lieu.

16.1 Insubordination, disobedience and instigation not to work. 16.2 Insolence, impertinence or rude behavior. 16.3 Refusal to accept warning latter, charge sheet or other communications. 16.4 Refusal to comply with standing orders/HR policies. 16.5 Refusal to perform allotted tasks, slowdown in work. 16.6 Drunkenness or drug addiction. 16.7 Assault, abuse, even outside, if connected to establishment matters. 16.8 Squatting, or remaining anywhere in the premises without working. 16.9 Possession of weapons without written permission of manger. 16.10 Making false, vicious or malicious statement against establishment employees. 16.11 Disclosing establishment matters to unauthorize outside persons. 16.12 Refusing transfer orders 16.13 Performing personal jobs in working hours. 16.14 Bad and careless work, neglect of duty.

-516.15 Habitually, lazy and careless resulting in effecting company's work. 16.16 Destruction of records or machinery or other company properties. 16.17 Fraudulent repetition of any act for which fine may be imposed under payment of wages Act. 16.18 Failure to work on holidays or Sundays if asked to do so when required. 16.19 Cessation from work when leave is not granted. 16.20 Producing false medical certificates of illness. 16.21 Sleeping or dozing offin any posture while on duty. 16.22 Late coming (habitual). 16.23 Failure to observe safety instructions. 16.24 Misbehaving during enquiry. 16.25 Gambling 16.26 Interference with work of another worker or any other employee in a manner affecting interest of the company. 16.27 Any act of indiscipline or disorderliness either inside or outside premises of the company in relation to employment. 16.28 Misbehavior at work premises causing serious concern problems/or stoppage of work for other employee. 16.29 Splitting should be avoided in the company premises except in the appropriate sinks. 16.30 Smoking using chewing gum and littering inside the company is totally prohibited. 16.31 Employee should bear safety personal protective equipments (PPE'S) while working. 16.32 Employee should wear uniform provided by the company and every workman should maintain personal hygiene. 16.33 Any kind of illegal strike 16.34 Any type of Sexual harassment

Every employee shall be liable to attend any kind of training, at any time, at any duration and at any place in India as per management direction. If it fails, concerned employees shall be accepted any kind of disciplinary action and shall be agreed to pay such loss if any. 18. PUNISHMENT FOR MISCONDUCT 18.1 Warning 18.2 Fine as per payment of wages Act 1936. 18.3 Suspension without wages by order in writing for not more than 30 days. 18.4 Demotion in status and salary 18.5 Discharge of dismissal from service.
