14 August 2013 Dear Colleagues: The Philippine Group of Law Librarians, Inc. (PGLL), a national organization of law librarians, is sponsoring a Forum on Social Media: Issues and Problems on 13 September 2013, from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Meeting Rooms 7 & 8, SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Social media and social networking is the most popular mode of information access to the whole citizenry. There are however issues and problems that needs to be addressed such as cyber-bullying and the Cyber Law passed by Congress with the case of its constitutionality still pending at the Supreme Court. These issues and problems affect every Filipino who are considered one of the most highly active users of social media. We have invited as Resource Speaker the HON. SENATOR NANCY BINAY who has filed a bill on social media. Forum fee is PhP200.00 for non-members, PhP150.00 for members, and PhP100.00 for students inclusive of certificate and snack.
