Dear Friends in Him,

GREETINGS IN HIS NAME. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. I am sure that some of you have decided that I have dropped off the side of the world, as I have not communicated with you for some time.
SINCE MY LAST NEWSLETTER I HAVE CHANGED THE PLACE OF MY RESIDENCE, AT LEAST

temporarily, to Calgary where I have been teaching and helping in other capa cities at Alberta Bible College. This is a most interesting and needy field of service. The subjects I teach are Bible Survey and Missions. I am our every weekend to different area churches with a team from the College. This gives the students practical experience as well as challenging young people to consider Christian training.
THE COLLEGE STUDEIVT BODY IS A SMALL ONE; AT PRESENT THERE ARE EIGHT FULLTIME

students. However a number of these are showing real dedication and potentiality as servants of God. The College is at present in a rather crucial state as the board is trying to select a President to fill the place vacated by Dr. Hansell*s death last year. Do pray with us about the future of the College and the Lo
rd's work in Western Canada.

TWO WEEKENDS AGO WAS HI-COLL WEEKEND. This is the weekend when various high school students come to be with us to get to know about college life. The at tendance ran around 65, which was considered to be quite good. We had a great weekend, climaxed with a Centennial Banquet. Among others we had a delegation
of two carloads from Manitoba and one carload from British Columbia.

IN THE OFFING IS CHRISTIAN SERVICE WEEK...Seven students and I are making a trip to the British Columbia interior to help in services in Lumby, Kamloops, Clearwater and Vavenby. We will be holding two youth rallies and helping with Bible distribution as well. The work in this area of Canada is quite new and the

churches are relatively small.

The workers

here include the Don Alberts,

the

Kent Mechems, the Lloyd Stricklands, James and Harold Murray.

THE DAY AFTER WE RETURN FROM B. C. WE JOURNEY TO EDMONTON FOR THE SPRING

YOUNG PEOPLES CONFERENCE. Our students here at A. B. C. are actively involved. Two of the students are on the executive as well as myself. Do pray for this
conference.

WHEN I AM IN TOWN FOR SERVICES, WHICH IS USUALLY JUST ON WED. EVENINGS,

attend Bible Study at the Parkhill Church of Christ where George Chapman minist ers. Presently I am trying to help the young adults group there launch a call ing program. This is a really great group to work with. They hold very regular activities, visit old folks homes, and regularly support a missionary. We are anticipating real Christian growth as these young people learn to share and com
municate their faith.

AM DEPENDENT UPON YOUR PRAYER AND PHYSICAL SUPPORT,

I hope that you feel

that you share with me in a very vital way...for you do.

Another proposed addition to our faculty is Tom Rash, who many of you know as a missionary to India. I am joyfully anticipating the arrival
of the Rash family as well.

success, with attendance over two hundred. Many of these young people were in the 16 to 23 age group. Our feature speaker? were T. Rash and Boyd L. LaDDmiman wdio are

both here at Alijerta Bible College this fall. The results .were very gratifying, especially ta me^ since I was chief instigator and planner. One of the-most inter esting weeks of the summer was spent on Vancouver Island teaching V. B. S. in an Indian Village. It was an entirely new experience for me and the two girls who
helped me. Our attendance ran about 30 children before lunch and 45 children and 5

dogs after. The camps at Yellow Grass in Saskatchewan, Pine Lake in Alberta, Dunn Lake in British Columbia, and Delta Beach in Manitoba were all well attended and proved to be times of growth and fellowship.
AS WELL AS ATTENDING CAMPS PART OF THE SUMMER WAS SPENT IN MEETING PROSPECTIVE

college students.

This, too, was a delightful experience.

We have 17 full-time students and

40 special and part-time students. The classes I am teaching include Critical Introduction to the O.T., O.T. Survey and an evening course in Christian Education. This latter course is very well attended with 44 very interested students many of

THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW JIM PHILLIPS WILL BE INTERESTED IN KNOWING THAT HE HAS left his ministry in King Edward Park to go into new church evangelism in the Vernon

WE HAD OUR FIRST COLLEGE DAY LAST SUNDAY AT PARKHILL. The students did very well. Interesting future events include Founders Day on December 1 featuring the book of I Peter and a Volleyball game between A. B. C. Students and B. C. Ministers.
YOU WILL HAVE NOTICED THE NEW FORWARDING AGENT AND ADDRESS. Carol and Richard
