Course outcomes
After successful completion of this short learning programme the learners should be able to: Articulate the ethical dimensions of promoting health & wellness in a corporate environment. Demonstrate an understanding of health and wellness in the context of human development and occupation. Describe major initiatives in the corporate environment, and the world directed towards health and wellness through specific health & wellness activities and initiatives. Discuss the determinants of corporate health & wellness and the resources, both potential and existing, required to support healthy living. Demonstrate an understanding of the reciprocal interaction of the growing and developing individual and dynamic environmental factors, and the impact on corporate health & wellness of this interaction. Mobilize individuals and organizations to be change agents for corporate health & wellness with a focus on the responsibility of the line manager. Demonstrate skill in assessing health and wellness needs within the corporate environment, identifying potential sources for funding initiatives, and writing proposals to meet these needs. Design programs, activities, and/or educational materials that will help to improve the health and wellness of employees. Utilize information and communication technology resources in accessing information, dissemination of information, and delivery of health & wellness services to the corporate environment. Demonstrate problem-solving skills in addressing health and wellness needs of individual employees within the corporate world.

Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in the development and presentation of health and wellness information to individuals across the corporate environment.

Assessment
The assessment process will include: Group work, experiential learning, presentations as part of the continuous assessment (formative). A portfolio of evidence (summative) that must be completed after the interactive workshop within a specific timeframe to demonstrate the participants ability to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the course.

Certification
After successful completion of the course and assignment the participants will receive a certificate of competence issued and accredited by Southern Business School, which carries 5 credits towards the Certificate in Management (NQF level 5).
