May 2013 - July 2013 UAHuntsville Research and Study Abroad Program in Panama Huntsville, AL and the Republic of Panama Undergraduate Researcher Completed an 8-week research and study abroad program through UAHuntsville and the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC) in Clayton, Panama. CATHALAC is the largest consortium of geospatial data in Mesoamerica. My research team conducted a project on validating existing satellite-derived NASA digital elevation model products (namely ASTER and SRTM) by creating our own field-generated Digital Elevation Model, to which we then compared the satellite data. We then successfully used the data to assess landslide susceptibility in the region of Santa Fe, Panama. The stay in Panama was 3 weeks long. We conducted pre-departure research in Huntsville, AL. The end accomplishments were a 40-page technical report and a final presentation on the project. Sep 2012 - Nov 2012 NASA DEVELOP National Program Huntsville, AL Research Intern Hired as part of a team researching water quality at Guntersville Lake, Alabama using Secchi Disk Depth and NASA Earth Observing Systems to measure turbidity. Comparing processed NASA multispectral satellite images to field site measurements using ArcGIS and ENVI in order to determine the best method of measuring water turbidity in Guntersville lake and meet the need for a more timely, cost-effective method of monitoring inland water quality parameters. After successfully completing the project, we presented our findings to the end-user for them to be

able to implement the methods in future water resources testing and ecological forecasting. Nov 2011 - Jan 2013 GeoCue, Incorporated Madison, AL QCoherent Software Team Testing and troubleshooting of LP360 LIDAR data processing software, including the standalone version and ArcGIS extension. Composing technical training documents and guides to aid customers. These include how customers can better manage their geospatial workspace and improve workflow. Also creating exercises for beginners to more advanced users to take advantage of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) .LAS file format in a GIS environment, primarily ArcGIS. These exercises are designed to be real world applications of LIDAR and other remotely sensed data, such as hydrologic modeling and ground classification. Making software maintenance renewal calls to and interacting with customers on a daily basis. Leading and moderating software demonstration webinars.
