Background
The VUB bank is one of Slovakias leading financial institutions and hasits headquarters in a new 22-storey building in Bratislava. The bank employs over 3,500 people at its 207 retail branches, 35corporate branches and 11 mortgage centers across the country. In2006 it was named Slovakian Bank of the Year.

With Philips Dynamic Lighting we can bring the dynamic character of daylight, with its seamless changes in brightness and warmth, indoors. Dynamic Lighting was installed in the VUB banks Executive offices andin the adjoining meeting rooms, in the form of Savio recessed andadditional free-floor standing luminaires.

The Challenge
There is a growing recognition that human factors like well-being and motivation are becoming increasingly critical to the success of knowledge-based enterprises like the VBU bank. Lighting can play a vitally important role in this respect.

Benefits
Dynamic Lighting utilizes the dynamic characteristics of daylight (changes in the level and tone of white light) to enhance peoples sense of well-being. It also gives them control over their own environment, enabling them to set the lighting to suit their individual preferences orthe task in hand, e.g. working at a computer, reading, meeting, etc. This has an inspiring effect.

The Solution
Daylight the form of light with which we are most comfortable is never constant. It changes in level and color temperature throughout the day, affecting our emotions, moods, perception and performance.
