AMERICAN COUNCIL FOR TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCES NEW

BOARD MEMBERS
Fairfax, VA – June 3, 2009 – The American Council for Technology (ACT) recently
announced the results of its 2009 Board Elections at the annual Management of Change
conference held in Norfolk, VA last week. Prashant Gaur (PG) becomes the new ACT
President, Mike Carlton the new Executive Vice President, Stephen Warren Secretary,
and Darlene Meskell Treasurer. In addition to the four officers, the ACT Board also
elected 10 Vice Presidents at Large to join with the officers in coordinating ACT’s many
educational and professional development activities.

All ACT Board members assume their positions as of July 1, 2009 and serve in their
personal rather than professional capacity. The 10 New Vice Presidents at Large (in
alphabetical order) are:

Darren Ash; Linda Cureton; Mary Davie; Lesley Field; Mark Krzysko; Chris
Niedermayer; Jackie Patillo; Bajinder Paul; Steve Ressler; and Gary Wetterhall .

In addition, the Board elected Paul McDermott as Eastern Region Vice President, and
Casey Kelly as Western Region Vice President,

Outgoing President Martha Dorris will serve on the Board as immediate past president.
Sara DeCarlo, incoming IAC Chair, Ken Allen, Executive Director of ACT-IAC, and the
Chair of the Intergovernmental Advisory Council are also Board members. In addition,
the Association for Federal Information Resources Management (AFFIRM); and NCC-
AIIM each have a seat on the ACT Board bringing the total number of potential Board
members to 25.

“I am honored to serve with a Board which consists of extremely knowledgeable, hard


working leaders,” said Mr. Gaur. "I look forward to working with all of them as we
continue on our path to serving the citizens. I also look forward to Martha Dorris’s
continued leadership and active involvement on the board as immediate past-president.
As a result of her efforts, ACT is well positioned for the challenges ahead."
