Three and four stage compressors specifically designed for continuous duty 5000 and 6000 psig applications with no cool down cycle requirements. Unique five stage compressor designed for the rigors of 7000 psig continuous duty service offering considerably less compression ratios per stage. No Break-In period required on initial start-up due to plateau honing and nitrate treatment of cylinder walls. Excellent flow capacities with conservatively low compressor RPM. Longest maintenance intervals and cost conscious replacement parts make cost of ownership the lowest in the industry. Cast aluminum magnesium alloy crankcase engineered for superior strength, reduced weight and exceptional heat rejection while offering a generous oil sump capacity. The onepiece design eliminates the potential for oil leaks between upper and lower crankcase sealing surfaces. An oil sight glass and inexpensive, easily replaceable oil filter are standard on all models. Low pressure lubrication system, gear driven by the crankshaft, pumps filtered oil to the final stage of compression.

Single acting, free floating aluminum final stage piston with multiple polymide rings and machined oil return ports assure proper lubrication, reduce noise levels, reduce liner wear, limit blow-by oil consumption and carbon build up. High strength, heat resistant polymide rings are a more pliable material than steel or iron minimizing ring breakage, easing installation and removal and increasing life expectancy. Innovative cooling fan designs that reduce noise levels while producing increased cooling air flow across the compressor. Heavy duty drive gear with 30,000 hour life expectancy. A durable forged steel crankshaft supports high strength aluminum alloy connecting rods. For reduced friction and maximum mechanical efficiency each connecting rod has a roller bearing at the crankshaft end and a needle bearing at the pin end. The drive gear is supported in the crankcase with heavy duty ball bearings. The dynamically counterbalanced crankshaft provides smooth, practically vibration free operation. Valves are readily accessible for inspection and maintenance. Maintenance is inexpensive and easy to complete. The design guarantees optimum air flow and efficiency, thus maximizing valve life - 2000 hours!

Interstage and final separators have a unique maintenance free insert installed to prevent moisture and oil from contaminating the compressed air. Oversized stainless steel intercoolers and aftercooler provide excellent protection against corrosion and improve thermal stability which reduces the possibility of developing leaks at connection points. Our coolers are strategically mounted so that all surfaces are exposed to the cooling air fan blast assuring superior heat dissipation. No auxiliary cooling fans are required.

COMPRESSOR CONTROL PANEL

CCP includes magnetic motor starter, fused transformer and PLC controller in a NEMA 4 electrical enclosure. The CCP is affixed with a UL label. For ease of maintenance and repair the PLC has removable terminal blocks for all functions and offers EEPROM capability.

AUTOMATIC CONDENSATE DRAIN

The highly engineered, yet maintenance friendly ACD and reservoir system with high liquid level indication system to alert the operator via the HMI. Manually operated drain valves are supplied to override the automatic operation of the ACD system for test and maintenance purposes.

HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE

HMI with a four-line backlit or multicolor touch screen display will detail all safety/fault shutdowns with scrolling text of up to three potential causes. Standardized wiring harnesses are built as sub-assemblies for uniformity across product lines. Wiring is color coded and encapsulated within a split corrugated type loom. Each wire end connection is machine crimped and numbered. Plug and play sealed electrical connections.

CONTAINMENT FILL STATIONS

BAUER CFS II is the safest and easiest to use in the industry. With an ergonomically designed fill station door, only eighteen pounds of effort is needed to open or close, thereby eliminating operator fatigue. Our third party testing profile exceeds the standards of NFPA 1901. Even the smallest detail mattersmolded multi-height SCBA riser ensures a good fit.

OIL AND FINAL AIR PRESSURE

They are monitored by pressure sensors and transmitted to the HMI for digital display offering accuracy, consistency and reliability. The pressure sensors have adjustable set point and dead-band thru the HMI (password protected). Stainless steel high pressure tubing sets us apart from those relying on less expensive hose. Skilled labor and CNC tube bending ensure uniformity.

TOTAL SYSTEMS
MINI UNICUS is our budget minded integrated breathing air cylinder recharging system. The system design combines a BAUER high pressure compressor, BAUER breathing air purification system, air storage system, air management panel and containment fill station. It might be smaller than our UNICUS III series cylinder recharging systems, but MINI UNICUS is not short on features. UNICUS III cylinder recharging station is THE TOTAL SYSTEM for refilling high or low pressure SCBA or SCUBA cylinders. The integrated system design combines a BAUER high pressure compressor, BAUER breathing air purification system, air storage system, cascade fill panel and containment fill station into one user friendly workstation. Independently tested for safety, a UL listed electrical assembly and the proven reputation for superior performance makes the UNICUS III the most advanced fill station available!

MOBILE TRAILER SYSTEMS

If your needs do not require the amenities of the full-sized TCOM look to the TCOM LITE. Designed and manufactured by BAUER for the budget minded customer, the TCOM LITE utilizes a multi-stage air cooled compressor coupled to a watercooled diesel engine. Our aesthetically pleasing enclosure encompasses the compressor system from inclement weather and road debris and the heavy-duty frame provides a firm foundation for up to four air storage cylinders. The single axle design enhances mobility with most smaller vehicles. When your needs require a rugged trailer built for the fire service, rather than a cheap lightweight imitation, look to BAUER. Our TCOM TRAILER designs are powered by a unique diesel/electric dual drive system. Each system is equipped with a two position containment fill station, an enclosed fill control panel, four ASME storage cylinders and integral SCBA storage for up to twelve SCBA cylinders all incorporated onto a heavy duty frame built by BAUER.

OPEN DESIGNS
Open packages in horizontal or vertical configurations combine compressor and air purification system in a space saving design. These compressors set the standard for larger capacity air requirements.

ENGINE DRIVEN
The ENGINE DRIVEN compressor for recharging SCBA or SCUBA cylinders combines compressor, purification system and engine drive. The frames rugged design is specific to the requirements of the engine drive/compressor block assembly.

AUTO CASCADE
The automatic cascade system utilizes our patent pending manifold block with integral valve bodies. Couple this with a commercially available PLC controller and you have the simplest cascade system easy installation and effortless operation.

AIR PURIFICATION
BAUER air purification systems purify high pressure air to a quality that meets or exceeds the requirements of CGA Pamphlet G-7, Compressed Air for Human Respiration, ANSI/CGA G7.1, Commodity Specification for Air, Grade E, and all other recognized standards for breathing air.

CONTAINMENT FILL STATIONS

BAUER offers only independently tested containment fill stations which were found to protect the operator from overpressure and fragmentation per NFPA 1901. Formed plate steel and fewer weldments help maintain structural integrity while at the same time reducing size and weight. Our ergonomic Easy Load door design allows the operator to open and close the door with less than 18 lbs. of force without hyper-extended hand and wrist movements.

SECURUS II
SECURUS II ensures maximum utilization of the air processing cartridges because the moisture sensor is embedded directly in the molecular sieve. The last cartridge in the air processing system. SECURUS II is powered from the PLC control system and provides for automatic warning and shutdown when the cartridges become saturated. SECURUS II is available for working pressures from 2000 6000 psig and flow rates to 125 scfm.

AIR STORAGE
BAUER high pressure air storage systems meet the code requirements of either the Department of Transportation or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. DOT and ASME storage cylinders and storage systems are offered for 5000 and 6000 psig applications. Optional mounting racks are available.

BAUER maintains an extensive inventory of spare parts and we can assist you with anything that has been built by BAUER. Parts are still available for compressors that are decades old! Common parts are available for same day shipment.

LUBRICATION SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Genuine oil filter elements, sight glasses, oil pump belts and oil pumps are the components that act as the heart of your compressor pump...rushing factory recommended lubricant to critical friction sites through your compressor block. These parts and systems work together with the lube to afford you hours of protection and operation. Be certain that periodic inspection of these critical parts are on your checklist.

GASKETS AND SEALS

You want your unit to keep the original quality that was manufactured when it was factory new. Why install material of unknown origin or material. Differences in material composition and quality even in a gasket or seal can mean costly repairs to more expensive parts. Insist on factory original parts. Your compressor will give you uncompromising performance with quality parts.

AIR INTAKE FILTERS

The air compressed by your unit passes through many mechanical parts on its way to your final applications. Why not be confident that the air you process internally is clean from the onset. MAINTENANCE SET
We package factory original parts that are manufactured to uncompromising specifications and offer these materials for user-friendly installment. LUBRICANTS
The performance of your compressor depends on basic maintenance. The lubricant provided with your compressor has been chosen and tested by us to meet or exceed all industry standards. Using these lubricants assures peak performance of your unit with minimal piston, cylinder and valve wear.
