1. Introduction
1.1 Purpose

The following document describes the process required to attach assets to an aircraft tree. 1.2 Overview

Before you attach an asset to the model tree the model tree itself must have been created (against the model tree you can setup applicable part numbers which will speed up the asset loading process) and the asset added to the asset / component log with the correct model selected. We have done both of these steps for you. This document will guide you through the steps required to attach an asset to an aircraft tree. This document would be useful to the user who would like to create a new aircraft.

2. Specific Instructions
2.1 1. Make sure the asset you are going to attach has got its parent asset fitted and the start values are correct for that asset and it is tracking the correct life codes 2. Next, you need to have a work order and task for fitting, the work order task needs to have a carried out reg journey set and carried out date set. These values are important as this is the start point for where the maintenance items start counting their applicable life codes from. We have already done this for you. Each of the aircrafts has a records loading work order set up to load parts. Please refer screen shot below.

Note 1: The records loading work order and task have been carried out using Technical log No *Start. So any asset attached to the aircraft at this point with null life code values, will have the cumulative values of the aircraft life codes as TSN and TSLSV. Note 2: If not all technical logs have been entered in the system (likely to happen to old aircrafts) a start value will have to be manually provided for the life codes. The assets will then accumulate life code values from the start values. 3. Next, go to Fleet Registrations in the Main Menu. Edit the aircraft and go to the Assets tab then the Asset Tree tab. Find the model (should be in red if not fitted) for the asset you want to attach 4. Right click item and select attach as per screen grab below.

6. The next box you get shows the life codes setup against the asset record for you to confirm that they are correct see screen grab. If they are not already set up please add the life codes which must be tracked against this asset and the appropriate TSN and TSLV values against them.

7. If you want to confirm all is ok you can right click the asset on the tree and view asset. The screen below highlights this, here are the columns explained:
