>>We believe that EVERYONE is made according to God’s will, and before Him EVERY man

is created equal (believer or not) and should be treated as such

I understand that this is your personal view. I also believe everyone is equal. However, there are
several places in the bible where it openly states that slavery is ok. It even gives instructions..

Example: However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who
live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those
who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your
children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel,
your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 )

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men
are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.
But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with
her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her
as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes
another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he
fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment.
(Exodus 21:7-11)

“If a man beats his male or female slave with a club and the slave dies as a result, the owner must
be punished. 21 But if the slave recovers within a day or two, then the owner shall not be
punished, since the slave is his property.
Many Christians say that the OT is no longer valid with the death and resurrection of Jesus. Here
are some NT quotes.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you
would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5

All slaves should show full respect for their masters so they will not bring shame on the name of
God and his teaching. 2 If the masters are believers, that is no excuse for being disrespectful.
Those slaves should work all the harder because their efforts are helping other believers[a] who
are well loved. Teach these things, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. (1 Timothy
6:1-2 )
The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But
people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is
required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom
much more is given." (Luke 12:47-48)

Clearly Jesus was cool with beating your slaves/servants even if they don’t understand what they
did wrong.
Whether or not you agree with these quotes ( I know you don’t) does not change the fact that
they are still in the bible. The inspired word of god…

>>WOMEN ARE NOT CONSIDERED PROPERTY

They are considered inferior and in some cases even property. In Judges 21:10-24 , it discusses
the rape, pillage, and murder of every man and woman who is not a virgin in Jabesh-gilead. The
400 virgins they did find were taken as wives for the Israelites.
Another instance is in numbers.
Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp.
But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle.
"Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed
Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor.
They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and
all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you
may keep them for yourselves.( Numbers 31:7-18 )

Just a few verses showing that women were inferior:

1 Corinthians 11:3 *

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the
woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.

1 Corinthians 11:7 - 9*

7 For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory
of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

1 Corinthians 14:34 - 35*

34. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to
speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a
shame for women to speak in the church.

Ephesians 5:22 - 25*

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and
he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own
husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for
it;

Colossians 3:18 *

18. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

1 Timothy 2:9 - 15*

9. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with
shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly
array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in
silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the
transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and
charity and holiness with sobriety.

Romans 7:2

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so
long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her]
husband.

Titus 2:3 - 5*

3 The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false
accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love
their children,
5 [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that
the word of God be not blasphemed.

1 Peter 3:1 -3

1. Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not
the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
2 While they behold your chaste conversation [coupled] with fear.
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the hair, and of
wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
1 Peter 3:5 -7*
5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned
themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye
do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto
the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that
your prayers be not hindered.
Genesis 3:16*
16. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in
sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he
shall rule over thee.

Leviticus 12:2 *

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a
man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the
separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.
Leviticus 12:5
5 But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her
separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six
days.

Esther 1:22

22 For he sent letters into all the king's provinces, into every province according to the
writing thereof, and to every people after their language, that every man should bear
rule in his own house, and that [it] should be published according to the language of
every people.
Job 25:4 *
4 How then can man be justified with God? or , how can he be clean [that is] born of a
woman?
