Six people have been arrested after the Thomasville Police Departments Special Operations Unit launched an investigation into an illegal liquor house. During the two week investigation, undercover officers were able to purchase illegal liquor at 45 Hunter Street. A search warrant was obtained and executed on August 13, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. by the Thomasville Special Response Team (SRT). Detectives seized over 40 individually packaged bags of marijuana totaling 39.5 grams, digital scales, ball tickets, U.S. Currency in the amount of $278, and a notebook ledger indicating the illegal sales of alcohol. Six people were present during the execution of the search warrant including the tenant, Dana Derun Allen. Allen was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for the use, storage, or sale of controlled substances, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of illegal lottery tickets. Allen received $100,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. Cordarius Ramon Sanders, 21, of Cates Avenue, Thomasville, was charged with simple possession of marijuana. Sanders received a $10,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. Khiry Jamon Billie, 22, of E. Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Billie received a $100,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail.
Darien Charles Norwood, 20, of Cotton Road, Trinity, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Norwood received a $100,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. TeTaurus Diangello Dunlap, 21, of King Row, Thomasville, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dunlap received a $100,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. Cordero Diante Fordham, 20, of Arlington Drive, Thomasville, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fordham received a $100,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. Over the last several weeks, officers have responded to numerous disturbances in the area of 45 Hunter Street, said Det. Brad Saintsing. Large crowds have been gathering, particularly during the weekends after 2 a.m. Police received a complaint of illegal liquor sales from this residence and began an investigation, said Saintsing. Liquor houses create a ripe environment for crime ranging from littering to homicide. These drug arrests are a prime example.
