Saturdav.March20 -Bankhead - This is a new ORVtrail located near Double Springs in the Bankhead NationalForest.The Flint Creek Trail is one of the newest trails out there and is approxmately 16 miles long. PLACE TO MEET:Cracker Barrel at exit 271 (Fieldstown Rd) off of l-65 North TIME WE ARE LEAVING: 9:00 a.m.(travel timearound 2 hrs.) We will have maps available. Come JoinUs!!!

The Place: Chewacla State Park Located in Auburn, AL off of Highway 29. One can enjoy severaltrails that can be accessedon foot or bicycle; water for boating and fishing, and several outdoor areas for camping and picnics on the park's 696 acres. The 26-acre lake has a wonderful waterfall at its dam and can make for a spectacularpicnic. Several pavilions and a grassy area are from also prime locations.The park can be quickly accessed I-85 at the exit just south of Auburn (exit 51) and at (334) 887-5621. Signs direct you to the parlg and it is less than three miles to the entrance.A day use fee of one dollar applies, and one can obtain a map for free at the gate (marked up here). Travel time ftom Birmingham is 2 hoursusing US 280 or I-65 / I-85. approximately The Trails: The park uses a numbered trail system to identify each segment,which is explained on the back of the park's map. The primary biking trail is number 8. This trail shares short portions with number 5 and 7 as shown. The combinedtrail is approximately2.3 miles long and typically ridden in a clockwise pattern. February 27, severalBUMPmembers and Saturday, guestsdodgedthe rain and headedto Tuscaloosa to rideMunny twisting trailsystem. Sokol's Mickie, DavidP., Dan,Colleen, Derrick, Keith, Andrew, Powell, John,and guests;Bryanand Jerryorganized our convoy for the short trip to T-Town. We encountered a briefrain enroute and were pleased to drywith a few spotsof standing find the trackbasically water. and then a guest We rode the trails in one direction rider,Jerry,leada ridein the direction in whichhe was the outing,and had a great familiar.
