VI. What is ACAPELLA?


- It is a singing without any instrumental accompaniment - It is purely vocals and to be heard by big audience ,the singers can use a microphone

VII. What is INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC?


- It is the opposite of acapella, there is no singers or vocals involved.

VII. Three Basic Rhythms Commonly Used In Music (Time Signatures)


a)DUPLE RYTHMS -occurs when a measure has two beats. This is often used in marching. -time signatures is 2/4 and 2/2 b)TRIPLE RYTHMS -occurs when the measure has three beats. This is often used in waltz.

-time signature is 3/4. c) QUADRUPLE RHYTMNS-occurs when a measure has four beats.This is often used in calisthenics ,modern dances. -time signature is 4/4.

VIII .VOCAL HEALTH TIPS


a) Other than good technique ,drink water. Vocal chords must be wet to function optimally. b) Humidity Steam-minimize vocal swelling. c) Smoke ,pollen ,dry air ,caffeine, alcohol ,drugs are dehydrating, therefore bad to vocal chords. d) Cheese products must be avoided before singing .It produces mucus. e) Avoid eating too much sweet. f) Allergies causes mucus .If you take antihistamine which causes dryness to the vocal chords, drink more water. g) Breathing to a warm wet towel (not too close) is a good breathing steam. h) Acid Reflex-acid goes up to the vocal chords causing damage to the surrounding tissue. -avoid late night eating -avoid sleeping with head elevated. i) Avoid speaking for a long period of time, it constricts muscles around the larynx. j) If your voice is tired, stop talking. k) Be physically active and fit .It helps reduce stress. l) Have once or twice a week voice lesson.
