Summary An effective global business team is not very easy to build but it is also not difficult to build.

Factor of failure need to be consider for built out an effective global business team. Global business team face more problem than the dosmetic team. Trust between team member is difficult to cultivate because global team member is from different country. Other than that, there are also geographical barriers, language barriers and culture barriers that causes them need to face difficulty to communicate. Furthermore, team charter needed to be define clearly and correctly so that the team member can understood clearly. Team charter must framed correctly by framed it based on company's vision. After that, team leaders should make sure team member clearly understood to avoid any conflict. Choosing team member is another important part for building an effective global business team. Level of diversity need to be decide too. Normally, the level of diversity for global business team is high. Because of that, level of diversity can be decide through whether the type of diversity is cognitive or behavioral. An ideal team size should be a smallest group of people but the required knowledge is all available. Selection of team leadership is important as well, because leader is the one who lead the team toward a sucessful pathway. Team leadership can be selected through choose an effective team leader, determine the need of an external coach, and find a internal sponsor. A team will only sucess if the team is manage well. Communication barriers need to be overcome in different aspect. Company should invest in language and cross -culture training and education. Agreeing on norms of behavior is also important by establishing ground rules, which can keep the team operating as an intergrating whole. Every decision must base on facts and data, because this can encourage team member sharing view point without attack others. Debates should be enrich through asking other team member to critiques on the solutions. Besides that, the location of team meeting should be rotated to different parts of the world. Trust should be cultivate to build an effective global business team. Face-to-face meeting should be scheduled to help develop solid social foundation and mutual trust. Apart from that, trust can be cultivate by rotating and

diffusing team leadership. Reward should be awarded according to team performance. This can help to encourage team member to work harder. Besides that, building a social capital will also create trust between team member. Through this, global business team can suceed.
