Course Outcomes After successful completion of this course students will be able to appreciate all the three modes of heat transfer namely conduction, convection and radiation. Students will acquire an ability to design some basic heat and mass transfer equipments such as heat exchangers and boilers and apply engineering judgment including an appreciation of cost and to solve problems involving steady and unsteady heat conduction, convection and radiation, mass transfer due to diffusion and chemical reaction.
