Thecontestinvolvesthecreationofacontemporary,dynamicandvibrantcorporatelogofor theZamboangaCitySpecialEconomicZoneAuthorityandFreeport.Thecreatedlogoshould haveacorporatedesign. BACKGROUNDOFZAMBOANGACITYSPECIALECONOMICZONEAUTHORITY&FREEPORT TheZamboangaCitySpecialEconomicZoneAuthorityandFreeport,otherwiseknownas the ZamboEcozone and Freeport Authority, was created by virtue of Republic Act 7903, which wassignedintolawbyformerPresidentFidelV.RamosonFebruary23,1995. TheprincipalauthoroftheZamboEcozonelawwastheformerCongresswoman,thelate MariaClaraL.Lobregat. ZamboEcozone and Freeport Authority is a Government Owned and Controlled Corporation,andismanagedbyaneightmanboardheadedbyChairmanandAdministrator,Mr. ChristopherLawrenceS.ArnucoJr. ThevisionoftheZamboEcozoneandFreeportisestablishaneconomiczoneandFreeport asthehudforeconomicactivitiesandthespringboardfortrade,investmentandecotourismin thecityandtheregion,thus,bringingaboutasoundandbalancedindustrial,economicandsocial developmentthroughthepromotionofprivateenterprises. The guiding principles of Republic Act 7903, calls for the zone to be developed into a decentralized, selfreliant and selfsustaining, agroindustrial, commercial, financial, investment andtouristcenterandfreeportwithsuitableretirementandresidentialareas. MECHANICS 1. Entriesshouldbeindigitizedformat(withafileextensionof.jpg)orfreehandillustration ordrawing. The raw file of the digital artwork should be drawn/illustrated in short size bond paper.Filenameisnameandlogotitle(example:juandelacruz_zfalogo.jpeg).Submit digital artwork in color and in grayscale versions. For freehand artworks, entries shouldfitinan8x11shortbondpaper.

A comprehensive description or rationale explaining the components of the logo shouldalsobeincludedintheentry. Thelogoshouldhaveaminimumoftwo(2)andamaximumoffour(4)colors. Everycomponentmustberecognizableevenifreducedtosmallsizes;and Entriesmustbecharacterizedbydynamicandmoderndesign,butstillmaintainingits corporatedistinctiveness. Participants may submit up to three (3) entries, together with application form and photocopyofvalidID(currentschoolIDoranygovernmentissuedID). Thelogomakingcompetitionshallbejudgedaccordingtothefollowingcriteria: Overallconceptandimpactofdesign (30%) RelevancetothegoalsoftheZamboEcozone (30%) Creativity (20%) Originality (20%) Only one (1) winner will be declared and the decision of the Board of Judges shall be consideredfinalandunappealable. The logo submitted should be original and has not been submitted to any other competition,anddoesnotinfringeonanythirdpartysexistingcopyrights.
