Brazil - Soybeans Production

In the season 2012/2013 soybean production in Brazil reached between 81.33 / 81.45 million tons, almost equaling U.S. production that was affected by a drought.
The first estimate for the harvest 2013/2014 will be disclosed by the October 8 by the CONAB

For the season 2013/14, to an expectation of 29.1 million hectares and yields between 29.7 / 31.5 quintals per hectare, soybean production in Brazil could be 86.8 / 91.1
million tons (updated on Aug. 10, 2013; July 2013 USDA forecast was 85.0 million tons).
Logistic problems, tested in the last campaign (including the high costs of internal transport) could be seriously aggravated if not accelerate plans to improve
infrastructure, including key product output ports.
