School Information Address: 10255 Musick Ave. St. Louis, MO 63123 Website: www.lindberghschools.ws/Dressel About Dressel: Dressel School is home to the Lindbergh Athletic Association, Lindbergh Activities Office, Lindbergh Early Childhood Education part-day classes, Parents as Teachers program, and Lindbergh Eager Achievers Program (LEAP) for elementary students.
LEAP Lindbergh Eager Achievers Program LEAP is the gifted education program for Lindbergh Schools. Identified students in grades K-5 attend classes once a week at the LEAP Center, located on Dressels lower level. The LEAP curriculum consists of thematic, multi-disciplinary units that encourage exploration and investigation, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. Lindbergh Early Childhood Education Part-Day Preschool Lindbergh Early Childhood Education is proud to offer part-day preschool classes for students ages 2 through pre-K at Dressel School. These classes adhere to Lindbergh ECEs nationally accredited educational expectations, and all pre-K teachers are certified by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Students will enjoy large, bright classrooms
with a fully-enclosed outdoor play area, and sinks and bathrooms in each room. Lindbergh Athletic Association: Lindbergh Athletic Association offers community youth sports for grades K-8, including fall and spring soccer, Futsal soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball. LAA provides students with access to recreational sports in a safe, friendly, educational environment, and promotes good sportsmanship among all of its athletes, coaches, families and officials. first annual New to Long BBQ onAug. 11, at 4 p.m. The Long Parent Teacher Organization (LPTO) is very active and sponsors numerous educational and social activates throughout the year. In 2012-13, LPTO sponsored and funded our new Outdoor Learning Space, which consists of three areas: Character Court, Lindbergh Landing and Free Farm. The area includes four large raised garden beds, a water
barrel, compost bin, six new picnic tables, an outdoor classroom and much more. Long School is listed each year as one of Missouris top performing schools on the MAP test. In 2011, Long opened a new wing that includes seven new classrooms, a new art room, a new music room and a remodeled front entrance. We look forward to continued excellence in 2013-2014.

Lindberghs Board of Education is composed of seven elected directors who serve without compensation. Members are elected at large to serve staggered terms of three years each. There is no limit on the number of terms a member may serve. A new member will be appointed on Aug. 12 to fill the seat vacated by Dr. Vic Lenz, who was appointed to the Missouri State Board of Education in June. Regular meetings of the Board of Education are held the second Tuesday of
each month at 7:30 p.m., in the Board Room at Lindbergh Early Childhood Education, 4814 S. The Special School District of St. Louis County has developed a local Compliance Plan for implementation of
State Regulations for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act - 2004 (IDEA2004). This Plan and School Board Policies contain the districts procedures regarding storage, disclosure to third parties, retention and destruction of personally identifiable information and the districts assurances that services are provided in compliance with General Education Provision Act (GEPA).
