Pre-Delinquency Strategy Setup

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this document is to explain how to assign different strategy templates to Pre-delinquent & Delinquent objects. Solution explained here assumes strategy level as Bill To. Same kind of setup can be replicated and is applicable at Customer and Account business levels as well. Note: IEX: Strategy Management concurrent program assigns Strategy templates based on score only.

1. 2. To assign Strategies to Pre-delinquent objects, need to set answer to question Do you want to assign strategies to pre-delinquent customers? as Yes in questionnaire. Define a custom scoring engine that produces different scores for Delinquent and Pre-delinquent objects. i) Set up scoring component (Pre-delinquency or Delinquency BillTo determination) to determine whether Billto is Pre-Delinquent or Delinquent. ii) Set up a custom scoring engine (Pre-delinquency and delinquency BillTo Scoring Engine) to score Pre-delinquent and delinquent Billto objects using above score component Set up different strategy templates for Pre-delinquent and delinquent BillTos. i). Set up strategy template Pre-Delinquent BillTo Strategy with applicable score as 94 ii). Set up strategy template Delinquent BillTo Strategy with applicable score as 89 Run IEX: Scoring Engine harness with parameter Pre-delinquency and delinquency BillTo Scoring Engine.

Detailed Solution:

SET-UP
1). To use strategy assignment for Pre-delinquent objects (Customers/Accounts/BillTos) the question Do you want to assign strategies to pre-delinquent customers? value must be set to Yes in Collections methods set up. If this question is set to No, IEX: Strategy Management concurrent program doesnt consider pre-delinquent objects for strategy assignment.

2). Set up custom score component and custom scoring engine

i). Scoring Component: Pre-delinquent or Delinquent BillTo Determination This Scoring Component is used to determine whether Bill-To site is Pre-Delinquent or Delinquent.

ii). Scoring Engine: Pre-Delinquent and Delinquent BillTo Scoring Engine This scoring engine uses scoring component Pre-Delinquent or Delinquent BillTo Determination and scores 95 to Pre-delinquent BillTo locations and 90 to Delinquent BillTo locations. Here we use segment view as IEX_F_BIILTO_V.

3). Set up Strategy templates for Pre-Delinquent and delinquent BillTo locations:
Strategy assignment happens based on score not based on type (Pre-Delinquent or delinquent) so when Strategy level is Customer or Account or Bill-To then Type doesnt show Pre-Delinquent in the dropdown. For Delinquent and Pre-Delinquent Strategy templates, we select Type as Delinquent only. Only when Strategy level is Delinquency then Type dropdown shows Pre-delinquent.

4). Run concurrent program IEX: Scoring Engine Harness with parameter Pre-Delinquent and Delinquent BillTo Scoring Engine. Pre-delinquent Billto sites will be scored as 95 and Delinquent Billto sites will be scored as 90. 5). Running concurrent program IEX: Strategy management assigns Pre-Delinquent Strategy to Predelinquent Bill-To sites (scored 95) and Delinquent Strategy to Delinquent Bill-To sites (scored 90). Note: Whenever Delinquent Bill-To become Pre-delinquent or Pre-Delinquent Bill-To become Delinquent running IEX: Scoring Engine Harness with parameter Pre-Delinquent and Delinquent Scoring Engine followed by running IEX: Strategy Management with parameter Strategy tolerance override value as No will switch the respective strategies to Delinquent and Pre-delinquent Billto sites respectively.
