Higher engineering Mathematics by B.V.Ramana (Tata McGraw Hill Publ.) Instructions: 1. Test 1 of 10 marks will be conducted at departmental level (i.e. on the same day and same time for all ten divisions) on Saturday 2nd February 2013. This test will be based on Units 1 & 2. 2. Mid-Semester Exam will be conducted by exam cell as per the academic calendar. This test will be based on Units 1, 2 & 3. 3. T 2 of 10 marks will be conducted (tentatively) in the last week of March 2013. 4. Tutorials will start from 7th Jan. 2013. Tutorial lecture is mandatory for every

student. They should make a separate note book for the tutorial (as well as for the theory). Students will get tutorial sheet on their e-mail before two days of every tutorial. They must come with hard copy of this sheet in the tutorial lecture. In the tutorial lecture, teacher will call anybody randomly and he / she has to solve the problem on the board or give the rough idea / important steps to solve the problem. If he / she fails to do it, some punishment will be given (50/100/200 problems) to him / her.
