Unit 5. Help Sheet

Development File
Following completion of 5 out of the 6 x 1 week projects, you must now produce a Development File that explores the 6 platforms set out in the original brief and re-listed overleaf. This is an excellent opportunity to identify particular areas of interest, individual skill sets, areas for improvement and possible routes for future employment. Your investigations should look at what you have done, what you have learnt, discuss and think about how these experiences can be integrated into future practice, and perhaps most importantly think about how the experiences you have had relate to the contemporary creative landscape. It is very important that you look beyond each project that you have completed as these were designed to act merely as an introduction to the platforms. The platform topics are far more extensive in their entirety and the platform descriptions* go some way to explaining the potential for the added exploration of each. Overleaf, you will nd further reference for each platform as an aid to get started. Please note, your research should look beyond this initial reference and established content relevant to your own practice and interests. The Development File is your opportunity to produce a comprehensive study into the contemporary creative industries and by relating this to personal practice you will be in a far better position to begin planning your Personal Research Project next term.
