Partnerships Projects Placements Collaborative Opportunities

Work placements (one year)


A fixed term employment of undergraduates. For more information see our placements brochure. After 2 years study starting anytime between Mid-June and end Aug for 1 year. Undergraduate salary negotiable: around 13-18,000 plus employment costs.

Graduate Internship
A fixed term employment of new and recent graduates. All year round depending on funds available; 3-6 months. Salary as above plus subsidy to employer of 1000*.

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)


Access and embed knowledge from the University. Fixed term employment of graduates working at the business on a strategic project. For more information see www.ktponline.org.uk. A project can start at any time after approval of the application and recruitment of the graduate. From 1-3 years or short PIKT 3-12 month. Government grant (40 to 60%) Business/organisation contribution approx.: 17,000 p.a. <250 staff 27,000 p.a. >250 staff

Continuing Professional Development


Development of specific knowledge and skills for employees and business owners. See www.llmc.org. uk for more information. Range of courses available including bespoke training. Fee by agreement.

Undergraduate/ postgraduate student consultancy projects


Solving defined problems, undertaking research, introducing new ideas. From Jan to May. Projects submitted by December. Will vary depending on project. e.g. Market research consultancy 195 per project.

Summer/ vacation (Internship)


A fixed term summer employment of students. 2-3 months (June-Sept) to suit employer. Depends on the employers scheme.

Work based learning


Distance learning courses in Engineering management, logistics management and business management. Start anytime, for 18 months to 2 years in duration. See http://www.lincoln.ac.uk, search work-based learning for current course fees

Consultancy/Collaborative Projects
Businesses and other organisations can access specific expertise at the University to assist with projects problem solving etc. Time depends on the project requirements and University staff availability. Fee by agreement.
