nivel global, la GEO elaboró su estrategia de incidencia hacia las Conferencias
Regionales preparatorias y la CONFINTEA VI. Entre las acciones planteadas se

Antecedentes
Convocatoria
Finalizando esta etapa del proceso iniciado con el Seminario Virtual realizado
en octubre de 2007 y el Curso de Formación Presencial que tuvo lugar en Montevideo
en febrero de 2008, invitamos a todas aquellas mujeres jóvenes líderes que sean
integrantes de organizaciones o estén vinculadas a espacios de activismo feminista de
todos los países de América Latina y el Caribe, a participar en el II Seminario Virtual
¿Existe un proyecto feminista para la transformación social? Interculturalidad y
Feminismos.
Estará organizado en tres módulos o momentos, cada uno de ellos con distintos
documentos cuyo propósito será desencadenar el debate y reflexión en torno al tema,
sus implicancias y sus desafíos.

The Call for Proposals: Professional Development and Training Courses is also
available in its entirety in PDF format.
View the Detailed Instructions and the 2009 AERA Professional Development
Course Submission Form. To submit a professional development course you must
completely fill out the Professional Development Course submission form using your
word processor. Before you begin to complete the form please save the file on your
computer. Once your submission form is complete, you are required to log into
the Submission System to upload the completed forms at the end of the submission
process. Submission forms are accepted only through the submission system.
Course Formats
Extended courses are 1 day, 1½ days, or 2 days in length and typically precede
the Annual Meeting. Courses that start before the Meeting (typically on Sunday,
April 12, 2009) conclude on the first day of the Meeting. In some instances,
courses may start the afternoon of the last day of the Meeting (Friday, April 17,
2009) and conclude the next day.
Mini-courses are short courses, 4 hours in length, and are scheduled to take
place during the Annual Meeting.
Selection Criteria
• The director(s) and any instructional staff are skilled and competent to plan
and carry out the session.
• The proposal topic is important and will address critical research training
needs.
• The proposal states the skills and/or knowledge that participants are
expected to have to participate effectively.
• The learning objectives are clearly stated.
• The planned activities support achievement of the learning objectives.
• The learning activities can be reasonably accomplished within the proposed
time frame.
• The planned activities are appropriate for the intended participants.
• There is appropriate time allocated for both lecture/presentation and active
participant involvement.
• Prior courses by the director(s), if applicable, have been successfully
planned and executed.
General Information
Directors and instructional staff of the training courses do not receive honoraria.
Modest reimbursement is provided only to help defray lodging costs associated with
teaching pre- or post-Meeting courses. All proposals must be submitted through the
AERA Online Proposal Submission System, which will open June 1, 2008. For
submission guidelines and information on the submission system, please visit

The deadline for submitting proposals for the 2009 courses is September 5,
2008. The Committee will select proposals and notify prospective course directors in
November 2008.

Se aceptan sólo trabajos inéditos. Cada artículo será dictaminado en dos etapas,
primero por el Comité Editorial, después por especialistas externos de manera
doblemente ciega. Es importante tomar en cuenta el Protocolo para colaboradores
