Speedbrake Lever
Thrust Levers
Speedbrake Lever
In flight, symmetrically deploys the multi-function spoilers in proportion to the speedbrake lever position. The speedbrakes will automatically retract when the thrust lever angle exceeds 60 degrees, greater than FLaP 1 is selected, or the speed drops below 180 KIaS. NOTE: The speedbrake lever does not move for autoretraction, or for ground spoiler deployment. NOTE: The speedbrake lever is inhibited on the ground.
Thrust Levers
Thrust Levers MAX: Provides the maximum thrust available. TOGA: Selects takeoff, go around, and maximum continuous thrust ratings. IDLE: Selects idle thrust settings. MIN REV: Provides minimum reverse thrust. MAX REV: provides maximum reverse thrust. The thrust lever must be pulled against a spring to achieve the MaX ReV position. If the thrust lever is released it goes back to MIN ReV position. NOTE: Positioning the thrust lever between the thrust control quadrant detents selects intermediate thrust settings. Thrust Reverser Trigger Pulling the thrust reverser trigger allows movement of the thrust levers aft of the IDLe stop (on the ground only). AT DISC Buttons Disconnects the autothrottles and cancels the autothrottle aural alert.

When pushed the green light inside the button flashes slowly. When the In-flight Crewmember picks up the cabin handset and selects eMeR PILOT the green light will flash quickly and a single chime will be heard in the cockpit. The cockpit crew must push the eMeR button again to establish communication. The light in the eMeR button will now be solid green. When the In-flight crewmember hangs up the handset the connection will be broken. CABIN TO COCKPIT: When the In-flight crewmember presses the EMER call button from the flight attendant panel, a triple HI/LO chime is sounded in the cockpit. The green light in the EMER button will be flashing quickly. When the pilot pushes the eMeR button the green light will be solid green indicating that a connection has been made. 6. RAMP Button enables ramp interphone communications over the hot mic. COCKPIT TO RAMP: When RaMP is pushed the green light in the button will flash. When the ramp crewmember engages their headset the green light will be steady illuminated. The aCP LCD will read RaMP CaLL. RAMP TO COCKPIT: When a call is initiated from the ramp a single chime will be heard in the cockpit and the RaMP button will flash green. When the cockpit crewmember selects the RaMP button the green light will illuminate steady.

TRIM Panel
Pitch trim priority is backup trim, Captain trim, First Officer trim, and the autopilot trim. To prevent trim runaway situations all trim actuation is limited to three seconds of movement. The switches on both pilot yokes, the PITCH BaCKUP SW trim switch, and the ROLL trim switch are split rocker type switches. If one half of a switch is actuated for more than 5 seconds that particular switch will be deactivated. 1. ROLL Trim Switch actuates the roll trim left or right. 2. PITCH BACKUP SW actuates the pitch trim through the back-up channel. Operation of the switch while the autopilot is engaged causes the autopilot to disengage. 3. YAW Trim Switch actuates the yaw trim to left or right.
4. SYS 1 CUTOUT Switch (GUARDED) PUSH IN: Disables pitch trim channel 1. PUSH OUT: enables pitch trim channel 1. 5. SYS 2 CUTOUT Switch (GUARDED) PUSH IN: Disables pitch trim channel 2. PUSH OUT: enables pitch trim channel 2.
3. UNLOCKED Indicator Illuminates ON when the door is unlocked. When access is requested an intermittent chime will sound in the cockpit and the ON light will flash on and off. 4. TEST Button Continually tests the buzzer while the test button is pressed, regardless of audio selection.

Disconnect Handles
1. ELEVATOR DISCONNECT Handle PULL: Disconnects the elevator control system. each pilot will control their on-side elevator. The system cannot be reset in flight. Disconnection can be confirmed by a cyan eLeVaTOR DISC eICaS message. 2. AILERON DISCONNECT Handle PULL: Disconnects the aileron control system. The Captain will control his/her on-side aileron, MFS panel 5L/R with artificial feel. The First Officer will control his/her on-side aileron, MFS panel 4L/R with no artificial feel. MFS panel 3L/ R is locked out for both pilots. The system cannot be reset in flight. Disconnection can be confirmed by a cyan AILERON DISC eICaS message.

FGCS vertical mode If VS or FPa were the active vertical modes, the selected VS or FPA synchronizes to the VS or FPA existing at the moment of button release. If aLT was the active vertical mode, the altitude to be held synchronizes to the altitude existing at the moment of button release, but the selected altitude readout does not change. If FLCH or gS was the active vertical mode, control returns to that mode. 2. AP/TRIM DISCONNECT BUTTON (Momentary Action) Primary means to disengage the autopilot and cancel the autopilot disconnect alert. Disables both HS-aCe channels as long as the button remains pressed. 3. PITCH TRIM SWITCH (SPRING-LOADED TO NEUTRAL) Trims the airplane when the autopilot is not engaged. Captains pitch trim switch actuation has priority over the first officers. 4. CONTROL WHEEL COMMUNICATIONS SWITCH PTT (momentary): allows VHF transmissions as well as Pa announcements. HOT: allows INPH communications over the HOT mic. OFF: allows only audio reception. 5. CHRONO It has three functions; START-STOP-RESET. The timer appears on the upper right corner of the PFD HSI.
Yoke
1. TOUCH CONTROL STEERING BUTTON (TCS) Allows adjustment/synchronization of certain FGCS modes, and manual maneuvering of the aircraft if the autopilot is engaged. Pressing and holding the button causes: (If A/P is engaged), disengagement of the A/P servos, allowing manual aircraft maneuvering. Synchronization of the FD guidance cue to the FPV. Release of the button causes: A/P servos to reengage, if A/P was engaged prior to TCS selection. FD cue to resume movement to guide toward active lateral and vertical modes. FGCS lateral mode: control returns to previously selected lateral mode.
