Dear Fellow Graduates, Former Students of UPSF, Friends of UP: More than 20 years ago, we dreamt of a permanent site for the University of the Philippines in Pampanga. We all joined hands in our collective struggle for a permanent U.P. Pampanga site. We are pleased to report that two years ago, a permanent site for UP Pampanga was awarded by the U.P. administration with Clark as the location. Our efforts paid off. We have been longing for this to happen and this is the most opportune time for each of us to get involved. We are now at the homestretch in fulfilling our dream. The symbol of our struggle for a permanent site was the Oblation. We visualized ourselves as the ones raising the Oblation into its proper place in front of the complex of buildings for everyone to see and feel its imposing presence on each student who passes on the universitys hallways. That scenario was on the top of our minds when we decided to embark on the challenge of sponsoring the building of the Oblation at UP Clark. The Oblation has been an icon of our permanency struggle years ago, and it will be the centerpiece of the fulfillment of that dream, as it is the icon of the selfless offering of ones self to the country for every Isko and Iska of our beloved university. As our means to raise funds for the building of the oblation at UP Pampanga and also to fund our future projects, the University of the Philippines Iskolar ng Bayan Pampanga, Inc. would like to offer to all interested alumni, former students, and friends of the university -- an Oblation statuette. We will be producing 150 statuettes only, a limited number to underscore its importance and significance. Thus, all those who will own the Oblation statuettes will be collectively known as: The 150 Pillars of the Oblation at UP Clark . As it is rare, owning one is like having a part of history. The Oblation reproduction weighs 3.5 lbs., stands 20 inches high, and is made of fiberglass and painted with antique bronze finish. It has a brass plate at the base which has an embossed logo of the University. It can also be personalized according to the course and student number. The Oblation statuettes will be handed out on September 22, 2012, where we will organize a dinner launch for The Project Oblation. There are two (2) Oblation packages to choose from: A. Php. 15,000.00 Oblation statuette package: Includes an Oblation statuette with an engraving of the name, course, or student number; 2 plates at the Launching dinner on September 22; and a Project Oblation polo shirt. B. Php. 10,000.00 Oblation statuette package: Includes an Oblation statuette with an engraving of the name, course, or student number; and a Project Oblation polo shirt.
