Global crude oil price of Indian Basket Moves up to US$ 108.54/bbl on 22.08.2013; goes past Rs 7100 per barrel mark in rupee terms

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 108.54/per barrel (bbl) on 22.08.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 107.97/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of 21.08.2013. In rupee terms, the crude oil price increased sharply to Rs 7100.69 per bbl on 22.08.2013 as compared to Rs 6851.78 /bbl on 21.8.2013. This was due to rupee price increase in dollar terms with rupee depreciation adding to price rise. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 22.08.2013 at Rs 65.42/US$ against Rs 63.46/US$ on previous trading day of 21.08.2013. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases marginally to US$ 108.63/bbl on 19.08.2013

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up marginally to US$ 108.63/per barrel (bbl) on 19.08.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 108.48/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of 16.08.2013.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 6773.08 per bbl on 19.08.2013 as compared to Rs 6706.23 /bbl on 16.8.2013. This was due to rupee depreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 19.08.2013 at Rs 62.35/US$ against Rs 61.82/US$ on previous trading day of 16.08.2013. The table below gives details in this regard

Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines on 07.08.2013 to US$ 105.33/bbl

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell to US$ 105.33/per barrel (bbl) on 07.08.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 105.92/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 07.08.2013.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price moved downward below Rs 6500/bbl mark to Rs 6466.21/bbl on 07.8.2013 as compared to Rs 6518.32/bbl on 06.8.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms and also helped on by rupee appreciation. The rupee- dollar exchange rate on 07.08.2013 was to Rs 61.39/US$ against Rs 61.54/US$ on previous trading day of 06.08.2013.

Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases sharply to US$ 106.31/bbl on 01.08.2013

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up sharply to US$ 106.31/per barrel (bbl) on 01.08.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 105.51/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 31.07.2013.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 6457.27/bbl on 01.8.2013 as compared to Rs 6448.77/bbl on 31.07.2013. The rupee appreciation moderated major part of the impact of price rise in dollar terms. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 01.08.2013 improved to Rs 60.74/US$ against Rs 61.12/US$ on previous trading day of 31.07.2013. The table below gives details in this regard:

Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines to US$ 105.86/bbl on 25.07.2013

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell to US$ 105.86/per barrel (bbl) on 25.07.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 105.95/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 24.07.2013. In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6239.39/bbl on 25.7.2013 as compared to Rs 6298.73/bbl on 24.07.2013. This was due fall in price in dollar terms and also because of rupee appreciation.Rupee dollar exchange rate on 25.07.2013 at Rs 58.94/US$ against Rs 59.45/US$ on previous trading day of 24.07.2013. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket rises sharply to US$ 106.46/ bbl on 18.07.2013

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 106.46 /per barrel (bbl) on 18.07.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 105.77 /bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 17.07.2013.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price has increased alongside the trend to reach Rs 6356.73/bbl on 18.7.2013 as compared to Rs. 6278.51/bbl on 17.07.2013. This was mainly due to price increase in dollar terms and further fueled by rupee depreciation. The rupee dollar exchange rate on 18.07.2013 was Rs 59.71/US$ against Rs 59.36/US$ on previous trading day of 17.07.2013.
