STREPTOMYCIN

Streptomycin is an antibiotic that kills a variety of germs including the germ that causes tuberculosis. Streptomycin cannot be given by mouth, but has to be injected into the muscle. The injections are given by experienced nurses and physicians who are available if any problems occur. Possible side effects include: 7 skin rash or itching 7 hives 7 ringing in the ears 7 decreased hearing Streptomycin may cause your kidneys to function abnormally. To monitor for this possibility periodic monitoring by blood test is required. CLOFAZIMINE
Clofazimine is an antibiotic that kills a variety of germs including the germ that causes the common form of tuberculosis.
