AUTOBOTS-2012
INTRODUCTION: This is an introductory workshop on robotics organized by Electronics and Communication Department, Marathwada Institute of Technology, Aurangabad. This workshop makes you familiar with the field of robotics and gives you an idea about the scope of robotics and automation. Course of the workshop is specially designed for Engineering and Diploma students, keeping in mind different robotics competitions which are organized by many institutes. Apart from the theoretical sessions, participants would be working on autonomous and manual robotic kit. This kit includes microcontroller based board, LCD, motors and actuators and sensors for line following etc. listed in detail below. Our entire session comprises of 50-50% of lab workout as everything will be covered practically also. ELIGIBILITY: Any Student of Engineering, Diploma or any Hobbyist who has interest in robotics can participate. DURATION: We conduct workshop on three consecutive days, each day 6 hours session, so in total 18 hours, properly divided into theory and hand on sessions. In the end a small competition will be organized based on programming exercise. The multipurpose kit includes the following components: 1. Chassis 2. DC Geared Motors (2) 3. Nylon Wheels (2) 4. Caster Wheels 5. Power Supply: Rechargeable Lead Acid battery. 6. Remote Controller 7. Line Follower Sensor 8. AVR USB ISP Programmer 9. The AVR microcontroller board. 10. ATMEL AVR microcontroller IC 11. Standard 16x2 LCD display 12. Motor Driver Module 13. 7-Segment Display 14. Switches, LEDs etc.

CHARGES: Rs. 4,400.00 for a group of maximum 4 students or Rs. 4,500.00 for a group of five students. There is no any restriction on formation of groups. The groups can be of students of different classes, different colleges etc. The charges include: Training fee of two days workshop Handouts and training materials Information CD Participation Certificate Multipurpose Training Kit (one in a group of 5 students max.)
