Remember in Prayer

Project 58

Your donations purchased groceries and other necessities for a couple struggling with illness, and also helped a WOLC member with family expenses. In addition, Project 58 assisted a single mom with her rent payment, and gave another single mom gas money, allowing her to get to work and school.

Sunday, August 4 from 1:50 PM - 3:30 PM

For more info, contact the church office.

Cabinet Making Work Project

We are looking for several volunteers with cabinet making skills, to do custom work at a St. Joseph church that is still rebuilding after a fire sustained in 2011. Work will begin on Monday evening, August 12. Help will be needed on about 5 evenings over a three week period. Check the foyer table on August 4 and 11 to sign up, for more details, and an expanded work schedule.

O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

IMAGINE Eleven

THIS Sunday, July 28 thru August 11 6:30-8:30 PM at Felix Square

IMAGINE Eleven is a Sunday night summer concert series, organized by more than 20 St. Joseph area churches. The series features eleven evenings of great music, tasty food, and summertime family fun. The music genres vary each week, all the way from blues to Broadway. Food and beverage sales benefit a local charity.

This Sunday Never Blue Avenue, indie rockers from central Missouri will be in concert.

It's time for Project Backpack, our annual school supply drive for children in need in our community. For the past six years, Word of Life Church has provided supplies for kids in schools right here in St. Joseph. Once again, we are sponsoring children at Humboldt Elementary and Robidoux Middle School, as well as children in our own church. This year, our goal is to sponsor 200 kids. Please stop by the table in the foyer to find out how you can help a child in need during this back-to-school season.
