Performance Overview
Ascendents AP-72IR-550 is a long-range environment plug and play day/night camera. Ascendents IR cameras are designed to offer absolute performance and use the highest quality components and contain built in redundancies such as dual PC board designs and capacitors to help reduce the effects of power noise for unparalleled reliability. This makes it the clear choice for security professionals in applications ranging from parking lots to military compounds.

Enclosure
These components are integrated into a rugged extruded aluminum housing with optically-pure polycarbonate viewing window. The AP-72IR-550 is rated to an impressive IP66 water-ingress protection allowing it to be installed outdoors or in wash-down applications. An internal heater/blower kit maintains a consistent internal temperature for operation in -50C to +50C allowing this camera to maintain performance in the most extreme environments.

True Day/Night
The AP-72IR-550 incorporates super bright IR LEDs that are different sizes and angles for evenly distributed IR. This eliminates IR hotspots and washout for up to 300 feet. The camera comes equipped with a Mechanical IR Cut Filter (MICF) that is photocell controlled for automatic switching between day and night modes. All of the IR LEDs are hand welded to increase both performance and longevity.

Quick Installation
The AP-72IR-550 is a true plug and play camera designed with the installer in mind and can be set up in minutes. It comes with a heavy-duty rotating wall mount with a wiring tunnel for the video and power leads. The tool-less trap door allows access for camera lens focusing and OSD camera programming for a quick and professional install. The AP-72IR-550 can become a network video camera when used with Ascendents IP ProServer or X4S DVR.

Optical Assembly
The AP-72IR-550 uses a 1/3 550TVL high resolution CCD imager that is sensitive to both normal light and infrared wavelengths. This working in tandem with a 5mm-50mm IR corrected varifocal lens provides both long-rage and wide-angle viewing.
