Supply chain management and the closely related concept of logistics
are cornerstones of competitive strategy, increased market share, and
value for most organizations. Logistics is a critical part of the supply
chain. The co-ordination and, perhaps, integration of the logistics
systems of all organizations in the supply chain are necessary
requirements for successful management of the supply chain. Yet
logistics in a large number of organizations is managed by people who
have not had the opportunity of gaining professional competencies in
managing/integrating it.
Objectives
To enable participants understand the concept of logistics in supply
chain management
To build an appreciation of issues, systems, and structures to
integrate various functions in an organization (or across the
supply chain) through logistical approach
To familiarize participants with theoretical issues and real life
applications in supply chain
To provide an opportunity for sharing organizational experience
among participants

Fee
The programme fee is ` 15,000/- per person for NGOs/Grassroots
Organizations/Co-operatives/Educational Institutions, ` 21,000/- per
person for Funding Agencies/Government Departments/Agencies, `
30,000/- per person for PSUs/Corporate, and US$ 750 for overseas
participants. 12.36% Service Tax on the programme fee will be levied
extra. The fee is inclusive of boarding & lodging, tuition fee, reading
material, stationery, etc. The fee should be paid in advance by demand
draft/multi-city cheque in favour of the Institute of Rural Management
Anand, payable at Anand.
