Attacking the Historical Narrative of the Tower of Babel

Most secularists believe that people evolved from ape-like creatures that supposedly had a grunting proto-language. So naturally their worldview demands that they reject the Bible in many areas, especially Genesis 1-11. The influence of secular humanism has caused many people to view Biblical accounts as myths. There are some basic concepts that Bible-believing Christians need to know about the Tower of Babel. First, is it really so difficult for us to believe that after Noah's Flood, there was only one language on the earth (Genesis 11:1)? No. Only eight people survived the Flood and they were all part of the same family (II Peter 2:5)! Second, is it really so tough to believe that Noah's descendants sinned against God by refusing to fill the earth (Genesis 11:4), as God commanded in Genesis 9:1 and 9:7? God's Word informs us that man's heart was evil after the Flood (Genesis 8:21; Jeremiah 17:9). Lastly, is it so difficult to believe that the God who created all things (Nehemiah 9:6; Colossians 1:16; Exodus 20:11) couldn't have had the power to confuse the language of the people at Babel, and scatter them? If Christians can believe the first verse in the Bible (Genesis 1:1), then they should have no problem believing the rest (Psalm 118:8). The question about the reality of the Tower of Babel is an issue of Biblical authority (I Chronicles 12:32). As Bible-believing Christians, we need to be aware of the secular world's attacks and deceptions because they are adversely influencing the church (II Peter 2:1). We need to challenge those false ideas and attacks on the Bible with solid answers.

DO YOU KNOW WITH BIBLE CERTAINTY THAT HEAVEN WILL BE YOUR ETERNAL HOME?
Our Dilemma: We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 Our Inability: We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 Our Saviour: Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived sinlessly, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Our Response: Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as Gods children. Whisper a sincere prayer and invite Christ to save you. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
