1 Hour ID SAFE Mortgage Law Update 2013 SAFE CE Course Syllabus

Welcome to our Idaho SAFE CE State Law Course. We are excited to assist you in furthering your mortgage career and are pleased you chose Praedo Institute to satisfy your education requirements. Course Purpose This course is meant to satisfy the one hour Idaho specific education requirement for Idaho mortgage loan originator continuing education. Course Description During this course we will review two hot topics in Idaho, loan modifications and short sales. Course Dates and Times This course is offered for the 2013 license renewal period. The deadline to complete Idaho CE is December 15, 2013. In order to ensure proper reporting to NMLS, this course must be completed by December 9, 2013. Course Objectives Upon completing this course, you should be able to do the following: Understand and comply with Idaho licensing requirements regarding loan modification activities Understand the basic definition of a short sale Identify potential red flags associated with short sales Grading Policy The course consists of slides mixed with comprehension questions. Each chapter includes a chapter quiz. At the end of the final part, you will be required to take and pass a final exam. This course is timed as a one hour course. You must complete the parts in order to progress through the course. You must answer all of the comprehension questions correctly and score 80 percent on all quizzes and tests to receive credit for the course. You may retake course quiz questions until you pass, but you be allowed only 10 retakes of the course final. Your course consists of two parts. You are required to complete the parts in order. Once you have completed all of the coursework in part one, you will be allowed to open and complete part two.

Course Policies Each student is required to submit an Identity Affidavit. By confirming the attestation, the student certifies that the course work was or will be completed by the person for whom the certificate will be issued. The student further certifies that they did not or will not receive any assistance in completing the course. The submission of a completion certificate for a course they did not complete themselves may constitute fraud on the students part and is subject to prosecution and/or discipline. Please carefully review the introduction module for instructions on using our online system. Course Outline This course consists of two parts, each covering different aspects of Idaho mortgage law. ID SAFE CE 2013 Part 1 Introduction: This module will introduce you to our system. Adherence to the advice and instructions offered in this module will greatly improve your online education experience. ID Mortgage Law Update 2013 Chapter 1: Chapter One covers loan modifications and short sales in Idaho. It consists of the following sections: Loan Modifications in Idaho Short Sales Which is Which? Bank Owned Properties vs. Short Sales Short Sale Red Flags Chapter Quiz: 10 question quiz covering all of the material discussed in Chapter One. ID SAFE CE 2013 Part 2 ID Mortgage Law Update 2013 Chapter 2: Chapter 2 covers additional definitions and prohibited practices. It consists of the following sections:

Additional Definitions Record Keeping Prohibited Practices for Brokers and Lenders Prohibited Practices for MLOs Case Study Noncompliance Chapter Quiz: 5 question quiz covering all of the material discussed in Chapter Two. Course Final: 15 question final covering all of the material discussed in Chapters One and Two.

Course Evaluation: Students will be allowed to give feedback regarding the course. Course Schedule This course consists of the two parts outlined below. The requirements for each part are listed with the approximate time needed to complete each learning module. Please note that the times are estimated, it may take you more or less time to complete the course material than specified in this outline.
