A "Healthy" Attitude
Over the past few months. Stress-related health cases are the leading reasons why PRII employees go to the company clinic. What does it mean to us? Are PRII employees living now in an increasingly stressed-out workplace? Stress is part of every work day, not only in PRII but also in other workplace as well. Stress is a normal, unavoidable part of living and most people experience it on a daily basis. However, leading a healthy lifetyle is the surefire way to beating stress.

While physical health is important, having a healthy attitude is even more important. Its benefits cannot be underestimated.

There are three basic advice that I could give you: Eat a good diet, exercise daily, and get enough rest. In addition, there are three other ways to curb stress: get organized, surround yourself with only positive and encouraging people, and have FUN (don't take life too seriously!). Studies showed that the combination of a poor diet and

psychological stress caused test subjects to pack on extra pounds, especially around their midsections. The weight gain caused the subjects to develop high blood pressure and a prediabetic condition, common problems for people carrying extra belly fat. Neglecting healthy eating patterns while stressed can set you on a dangerous path of binging that could result in a lack of wholesome nutrients and a compromised immune system that is susceptible to infection and illness. While physical health is important, having a healthy attitude is even more important. Its benefits cannot be underestimated. The mind and the body are interconnected and very intimate. The condition of the mind affects the health to a far greater degree than many realize. Many of the diseases from which men suffer are the results of wrong mental condition. Grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, and distrust, all tend to break down the life forces and to invite decay and death.

Courage, hope, faith, sympathy, and love, promote health and prolong life. A contented mind, a cheerful spirit, is health to the body and strength to the soul. " A merry [rejoicing] heart doeth good like a medicine. " [ Proverbs 17:22 ] Indeed, we live in a world challenged by all sorts of suffering, difficulty, trial, and sorrow. Some makes it even worst by doubling the weight of their burdens by continuously anticipating troubles. Because of this, they bring sadness and depression upon themselves. The pursuit of happiness is a never-ending journey. But one truth remains: all of us have the capacity to choose happiness. It is said that "happiness is a choice." Having the correct attitude towards life leads to a healthier physical state. So choose wisely! God bless you!
