THE TWO LANGUAGE WORLD Today, we live in a two-language world, i.e.

the language of the Holy Bible and the language of today. That language of the Holy Bible is what God uses to create and save us, heal and bless us, judge and rule over us. The language of today is the one we use to gossip, to tell each other stories, to howl at our children, to give directions and to do business. You cannot see Jesus with todays words. You can only see Jesus through the Scriptures. There is therefore no reason to stop looking unless God removes His Word. As you go about today, let this prayer reign in your heart: Lord Jesus, I agree with Your Word. I disagree with any thoughts, conditions, circumstances contrary to Your Word. I do not stumble or fall because my steps are ordered in Your Word, in Jesus name. You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God! (Psalm 119:114115)

SOMEONE STRONGER There is more to life than meets the ordinary eye. That is why we who generally cannot see beyond our nose need someone, something stronger, smarter and wiser than ourselves to see us through. The good news is, the Bible says in the book of Isaiah 55.9 - For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. He is the One we need to tune into. We need to be wired in a unique way to God who is stronger, smarter and wiser than ourselves. He has made Himself available to all who call on His name in faith. He is there to see us through; He is there to direct us, to instruct us, to show us the way to salvation and how to live for Him here and now. Our part is to take time to include Him in the decisions we make, in the things we do and say. That is when we will handle our challenges in a way that is pleasing to God and come out stronger as we do so, in Jesus name.

GOD IS WITH YOU Jesus said, In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33). We are living in a world full of trouble; in fact, we are born into trouble (Job 5:7). Trouble does not require any invitation before it comes. But as believers, as members of the household of faith, though there may be reasons to be troubled, there are greater reasons not to be because God is with us. When God is with us, we know what follows His guidance, protection, blessing and victory, no matter the situation. So, as a believer, when trouble comes, dont be agitated, stressed out or thrown into confusion; instead, trust in the One who promises to be with us, when the goings are good or tough. Then you will be able to say with confidence, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because God is with me (Psalm 23:4).

OVERCOME FEAR Fear is a deceptive tool used by satan that has robbed millions of a victorious life in Christ Jesus. For fear changes focus on God. It is a forceful wind that is capable of changing mans position. One moment youre on course, the next, youre sinking. Remember Peter. Peter wanted to walk on water. One moment, he was on course Yes, Im saved; Jesus is my Saviour. Im healed; Jesus is my Healer. Im redeemed All he had to do was to continue to look forward to the One who had conquered fear for him, the One who had conquered his past Jesus Christ. But the next moment he was sinking. We cannot make spiritual progress by looking back. Peter was sinking because of fear, anxiety, insecurity and worry. These were the things that constituted his past. Our Lord, Jesus Christ has warned us against going back to the world and flesh. He has warned us against looking back to the world we had already renounced. He has warned us to avoid looking at the situation in the natural, as we once did for Jesus Christ has conquered all the forces of hell and death for our sake. So, what is your business with fear? Jesus Christ has overcome! There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18)

LET YOUR FAITH TALK When Blind Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus, he not only cried out, his faith did too (Mark 10:46-52). It was the faith of the woman with the issue of blood that moved to touch the hem of Jesus garment. When Hannah was praying, though no sound came from her lips, her faith did the talking and all of Heaven heard her. Jesus responds to, recognizes and appreciates the cry born of faith. Only faith pleases God. When your prayers, fasting, worship and praise does not come from faith, you may hear yourself, others may hear you but God will not hear you. Many on that day were shouting, Son of David, have mercy on me but Jesus responded to Bartimaeus because his cry was born of faith. Faith is of mans spirit, not of his mind or body; so, open up your heart, reach out to Jesus and let your faith talk.

WORRY NO MORE In Matthew 6:24-34, our Lord, Jesus Christ warns us against being too anxious about temporal things food, clothing, the number of days we are to spend in life or any other thoughts of the future. As we must not boast of tomorrow, so we must not care for events of it. In other words, we must not be anxious for the future. We should remember that our times are in Gods hands. While wealth and welfare are a welcome human desire, the lack of them should not cause unnecessary anxiety. The Bible says that worries about tomorrow do not advance our cause at all; they are absolutely useless. God knows our needs and so He gives us enough grace, enough provision for each trial and situation we face. Instead of being anxious about the events of tomorrow, we should learn to focus on serving the Lord wholeheartedly, doing our best and leaving the rest to Him. To do this, we are expected to run the straight race with Him no distractions or diversions with firm belief in His wisdom, power and goodness. To conquer anxiety and care, we should have absolute trust in Him that He is working out the answer. Let us leave tomorrows troubles for the One who bore our troubles on the Cross.
