As a part of meeting our growing staffing needs as well as our efforts to develop a strong international executive talent pool, we are looking to recruit fresh graduates of prestigious engineering/technology institutes in India and other countries for training and employment as engineers at our plants across Japan. Selected candidates will be trained as Chemical Plant Engineers or as Research Trainees. Post-graduates majoring in Chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Sciences will be most-suited. Sumitomo Chemical has been recruiting from the Indian Institutes of Technology since early 2008. After Japanese language training in India and Japan, those recruited from the IITs have joined Sumitomo Chemicals plants in Chiba (near Tokyo), Ehime (Shikoku Island) and Osaka in the Process and Production Technology Centers working in Pilot Plant, Process Development, etc. teams in core engineering and research roles. The Company offers employment on permanent basis for fresh M. Tech and Dual-Degree graduates with us in Japan. The benefits and conditions are as below. Employment Conditions

Travel expenses Travel expenses and shipping and handling charges of household items from residence location in India to office location in Japan are covered. Plant locations in Japan Chiba (near Tokyo), Ehime (in Shikoku), Osaka, Oita (in Kyushu), and Misawa (in Northern Honshu). 1st year: 20 days (if joined on April 1). Pro rata if joined in a subsequent month (e.g. 10 days if joined on Oct. 1)
