BY-LAWS OF THE PENTECOST YOUTH FELLOWSHIP OF THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST ARTICLE I NAME The name of this youth group

shall be the THE PENTECOST YOUTH FELLOWSHIP of the CHURCH OF PENTECOST ABRAHAM ADESANYA ESTATE AJAH, hereinafter called the Fellowship. ARTICLE II AIMS &OBJECTIVES The Fellowship is committed to the following aim & objectives: 1. To undertake the supreme task: to know Christ and make Him known. 2. To share our love of Jesus Christ with others 3. To learn about all aspects of the ministry of the diocese and also involve ourselves in its affairs. 4. To create opportunities for the youth of the diocese to experience service to others, worship, evangelism, prayer and spiritual development, leadership and skill development, and fun. 5. To cultivate a spirit of Christian fellowship and unity amongst the youth of the Church of Pentecost. 6. To train leaders by properly addressing the needs of the youth, either as a student, worker, self-employed through significant programmes that achieves influence in the Church of Pentecost and in the society. 7. To advocate for the needs of, concerns of, and issues affecting the youth in the church and in the society, enabling them to religiously participate and faithfully contribute to nation building. ARTICLE III MOTTO The motto of the Fellowship shall be............. LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE TO KNOW HIS WILL AND TO DO IT CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE GLORY FEAR NOT: GOD IS WITH US ARTICLE IV A. MEMBERSHIP

Membership of this Fellowship shall be open to all christian youth and adult members of the church, both female and male youths. An official member of the Fellowship shall be a member of The Church of Pentecost who is ( ? ) years old.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MEMBER 1. Members of the Fellowship shall be faithful members of the Church, abide by the By-Laws of the Fellowship, fulfill membership duties as agreed upon by the Fellowship . 2. All Youth Members shall attend and participate in and help organize all meetings and programs 3. To contribute to positive and open discussion at all meetings and programs 4. To help implement all initiatives and programs. 5. To help create a culture of responsibility and faithful service 6. To spread the aims and objectives of the Youth Fellowship. 7. To promote youth ministry events in the Church ARTICLE V DUES 1. Individual member dues shall be pay a minimum sum of 100 Naira monthly. ARTICLE VI YOUTH FELLOWSHIP EXECUTIVE A. OFFICERS. B. TERM OF OFFICE 1. Officers shall assume their duties at the close of the meeting at which they are elected. 2. Officers shall serve for a term of 1 year or until their successors are elected. 3. No officer shall serve for more than 1 consecutive term(s) in the same office, unless re-elected into office. C. DUTIES Officers shall perform the duties provided in this section and such other duties as are prescribed for the office in these bylaws and the Pentecost Church Council.

The President shall: 1. preside at all meetings of the youth group and the ,meeting of executives; 2. appoint leaders of committees; 3. notify Youth Fellowship, Pentecost Church Council, the Curate, and the Youth Fellowship President and other Officers of any development or information as needed; 4. fulfill such other duties as may be assigned by the Youth Fellowship or the Pentecost Church Council ; and 5. Shall strive to provide leadership to the best of his/her ability and to attempt to live the Christian life to its fullest extent The Vice-President shall: 1. perform the duties of the president in the absence of or at the request of the president; 2. fill the unexpired term if a vacancy occurs in the office of president; 3. Shall take over the duties of the Secretary during his/her absence at a meeting; and 4. fulfill such other duties as may be assigned by the Youth Fellowship, the president or Pentecost Church Council. The Secretary shall: 1. record the minutes of all meetings of the Youth Fellowship 2. be the custodian of all records and documents including Youth Fellowship Bylaws; 3. conduct correspondence as directed by the Youth Fellowship; 4. call of the meeting to each Youth Fellowship Member via send phone messages ,emails, social network ,calls ; and 5. fulfill such other duties as may be assigned by the Youth Fellowship The Treasurer shall: 1. be custodian of all funds, disbursing them within the adopted budget; 2. present a financial statement at each Youth Fellowship meeting as requested 3. prepare the financial records for audit by ___________________; 4. fulfill such other duties as may be assigned by the by the Youth Fellowship, the president or Pentecost Church Council. The public relations officer shall: 1. be responsible for the promotion and announcement of Fellowship events; 2. try to the best of their ability to encourage attendees for events; and 3. promote the events of the Fellowship and other local youth events through the social network, church bulletin boards and newsletters, and the Gazette

The Bible Study leader shall: Co-ordinate the programs for Bible study, preaching, evangelism, on Saturdays youth program, or any other youth program. The Welfare officer shall: Handle . The Spiritual Advisor (Curate) shall 1. have the role of assisting, supporting, and encouraging the Fellowship and its membership in spiritual matters; 2. attend all organized events of the Fellowship; 3. attend all Executive meetings, when possible;. 4. guide the Executive in the planning and delivering of worship services at events; 5. to analyse the annual budget and program budget developed by the Executive/Commitee and closely monitored by the Advisor. 6. advising the Fellowship on its activities so it correlates with the activities of the Church of the Pentecost and in attaining to objectives set forth by the church. ARTICLE VII NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS OF OFFICERS. 1. Executive members are expected to be Christian (in belief and action) and thus good role models. 2. Nominations shall be made from the floor at the Youth Fellowship monthly meeting. 3. Elections shall be by ballot at the Youth Fellowship monthly meeting except when there is only one nominee for an office election may be by voice vote or raise of hands. ARTICLE VIII MEETINGS 1. The monthly meetings of the Youth Fellowship shall be held 2. The monthly meeting shall be for the purpose of electing officers, receiving reports of officers and committees, and for any other business that may arise. 3. Special meetings of the Youth Fellowship may be called by the president. 4. A quorum to all meetings is one-third 1/3 of the membership. 5. The youth fellowship shall meet regularly for the Bible study meeting held at the Church on Saturday from the hours of 4pm and 5pm Worship Services

ARTICLE IX COMMITTEES The committees of the Youth Fellowship shall be a program committee appointed by Fellowship, which reports to the executives and Fellowship. A. DUTIES. 1. The program committee shall plan appropriate programs for Church of Pentecost to carry out the objectives of the Youth Fellowship. 2. Worship, service, study and play (summer programs or weekend event; an outdoor adventure weekend involving hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, etc; training/planning/orientation event, Youth Summit) shall be the major components included in all Fellowship programming. 3. This committee is responsible in planning and coordinating youth programs and activities inside and outside of the church. These activities are to be correlated with the activities of the church program organization in attaining objectives set forth by the church. ARTICLE IX Youth Fellowship Discipline 1. Should any unhappy difference arise among members, the aggrieved member shall follow in a tender spirit, the rules given by our Lord in Matthew 18:15-17. 2. Should any case of gross breach of covenant, or of public scandal occur, the Curate shall endeavor to resolve the conflict; and if this effort fails, shall report the case to the Church. 3. All such proceedings shall be pervaded by a spirit of Christian kindness and forbearance, but should an adverse decision be reached, the church may proceed to admonish the Offender ARTICLE X FUNDS The fellowship is funded from the followings avenue: 1. 2. 3. 4. Monthly dues paid by members of the fellowship. Special levy on members for specific programmes. Vows or pledges from members and non-members. Support from the Church of Pentecost.

ARTICLE XI AMENDMENTS Amendments to the Bylaws can be made at the monthly meeting of the Youth Fellowship by its members and Spiritual Advisor (Curate).
